How did you and Anindith meet?

Shriya: So we grew up together, we were in school together in our 5th grade, and we studied together till our 12th and then we went to college, separately.

And, then how did you guys reconnect?

Shriya: So, I think once we got back, we randomly reconnected last summer. He was my first boyfriend I dated back in school. So, after that when we went to college, we obviously lost touch with each other, but then we met again this summer, basically came up together.

What are the themes for your wedding?

Shriya: The themes started off yesterday: the brunch being Indian Renaissance, so I wanted to mix it up with a bit of modern India and hence, worked with Namrata Soni on the outfit. I wore my heirloom jewellery piece from my great grandfather's family in Gadhwal, it’s called vaddanam belt and paired it with other items of then jewellery, basicallly a bracelet and a few accent pieces. 3-1_070618124601.jpg

So, tell us a little about the clothes that you’re wearing, like you mentioned heirloom jewellery pieces.

Shriya: Yes, I wore that yesterday for brunch, and at night I wore a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga along with a dupatta that he personally came and draped on me. Today, we are going for more of a boho vibe with an Elie Saab Bridal outfit, kepping the look classic. Tomorrow, for the wedding, it's basically going to be a pink lehenga from Tarun (Tahiliani) again.

Why did you pick these designers?

Shriya: These designers? I guess, for me, Tarun’s been my favourite designer, obviously he’s amazing, he’s been my mentor plus he was the first designer whom I worked with and actually got my first break right after college, which helped me decide what I wanted afterwards. And, with his clothes I feel like they are perfect-the finish, the fit, the quality, all of it. For me, it’s not usually about the name of the designer, but about everything else that goes into in, the garment itself.

and Elie Saab?

Shriya: Elie Saab is Elie Saab, there's not much to say about it. Elie Saab is just amazing, it’s  something so classic, and the outfit that I’ve chosen right now is huge-yet-super, super-light. So, I can literally run around wearing it, and I’d be super-comfortable the entire night.

Tell me a little about the jewellery that you are wearing? What kind of pieces are they?

Shriya: So, as I said, the jewellery for the brunch was vintage Gadwal heirloom jewellery. Today, I've decided to play it up a bit and wear the necklace on my head. I'm wearing a full-sleeved dress and am going to figure out a way in which I could overlap the jewellery on top of my clothes. So, I’m going to wear a bracelet on top of my dress.

What about the themes for the rest of the events?

Shriya: Today is the soirée we are starting off with, it’s like a mini-sangeet, or something like that you could say. We have this amazing band coming in, it's called ‘The Inspiration Band’, so we have them right after that, with a DJ just playing in between them, when they can have their own breaks. Tomorrow, we are going for the complete South-Indian style of wedding that I’ve worked on a couple of months ago. It's called a masnat, where the Nizams used to get married. So, the masnat is like a mini-tent that was embroidered over here in Charminar, and we’re using that for the wedding.

Is this the wedding that you have always dreamed of?

Shriya: Yes, I've always dreamed of this, but, I guess, planning it never could be stressful.

How do you feel now that it has all come together?

Shriya: I feel overwhelmed right now! There is so much happening in such a short span of time and I feel like my days are going away really fast, so, I’m trying to enjoy every single moment of it.

You look lovely.

Shriya: That’s because of the magician behind me.

How do you feel, Namrata?

Namrata Soni: I’m so happy to be getting her ready, you have no idea. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and I was actually lucky enough to do her first show for Lakme Fashion Week, many many years ago, and I have known her since then.

Shriya: I feel like there are only a few people whom I can actually trust, so, especially when it comes to Tarun and Namrata, I don’t need to speak about my outfit. I, usually, like going to the nitty-gritty of every single thing, but with both of them, I saw my wedding outfit a couple of days ago. So, I didn't see a swatch or anything for that matter. I had just told Tarun that I want to wear pink and then you can just go all-out and be like super-dramatic, and to Namrata, I basically told her to do whatever she feels like.

Namrata Soni: She’s also amazing, she knows what she likes, which is a very big thing, that’s amazing.

The dreamy and whimsical decor was done by, 3D Design And Decor By Dinaz, for the Sangeet function. And the theme selected was, 'Bohemian wonderland' which included a lot of exotic flowers.

With a traditional wedding ceremony tonight, with plenty of celebrities in attendance, there's plenty more revelries coming our way.
