Whether it is a classy convoy of 9-10 cars to luxury coaches for destination weddings, Sunil Gupta, MD & CEO, of Avis India has seen it all. He says, “Even if you don’t own a luxury car but you have a Bimmer or a Merc at your wedding, it just lends a certain panache to the festivities.” And, it is not a metro-phenomenon either, he adds, as the demand for luxury rides surges in every part of the country. Case in point, the Ambani weddings saw fleets of cars going from other cities to Udaipur to ferry guests such as Beyonce, Hilary Clinton and many others.

Meanwhile, some bridal party’s are taking the help of vintage car service providers to add an old-world opulence to their wedding. “The charm of vintage cars has been increasing amongst wedding couples, especially if the theme is classic or traditional. Vintage car hiring is trending as it lets the bride and groom make a classic departure making their wedding unique,” says Aditya Loomba, Joint MD, Eco Rent a Car.
