Instead of simply walking down the aisle, this bride surprised her groom by arriving on roller skates

Amareen Khuraana and Sahil Bhagat's love story did not begin with grand declarations or whirlwind romance. Instead, it unfolded slowly over fourteen years, built on friendship, trust and a connection that seemed obvious to everyone except the two people at the centre of it. They spent years growing up alongside each other, moving effortlessly from friends to best friends and eventually becoming partners. In many ways, their relationship never followed the traditional timeline of modern dating. There was simply an understanding that what they shared was heading somewhere permanent.

For Khuraana, Bhagat was never just a romantic partner. He was the person who showed up every time, her biggest source of comfort and support, and someone she often describes as her guardian angel. By the time they decided to get married, their wedding felt less like the start of a new chapter and more like a celebration of a bond that had already stood the test of time.

Set at a beautiful resort in Goa, their multi-day wedding brought together close family and friends for a celebration that reflected their personalities. The festivities began with a glamorous evening sangeet featuring choreographed performances, sparkling outfits, and a dance floor that stayed full long after the formal programme ended. The energy carried into the next day with a lively pool party complete with live drummers, colourful performers, and guests dancing in and around the water under the Goan sun.

The bridal entrance that took over the internet

While every event had its own memorable moments, it was Khuraana who unexpectedly became the breakout star of the celebrations. Social media quickly crowned her the viral "bride on wheels" after she made a spectacular entrance that challenged every expectation of what a traditional bridal arrival should look like.

Instead of opting for a conventional walk down the aisle, the bride chose something that felt true to her personality. Confident, playful, and full of energy, she arrived in a way that instantly captured attention online: on roller skates. For guests who knew her well, however, the entrance came as no surprise. It was simply Khuraana being herself. 

Set against Goa's lush greenery and open skies, the wedding mandap was decorated with soft pink and white roses that created a romantic backdrop without overshadowing the couple at its centre.

Khuraana wore an ivory lehenga adorned with delicate floral details as she joined Bhagat beneath the floral canopy. Surrounded by their closest people, the couple exchanged garlands and took their pheras around the sacred fire. It was during these quieter moments that the emotions of their fourteen-year journey truly surfaced. As the ceremony unfolded, Bhagat found himself overwhelmed, shedding a few happy tears as they finally arrived at a moment that had been years in the making.

For Khuraana and Bhagat, the wedding felt like an overdue celebration of two best friends choosing to continue being exactly what they had always been for each other: a safe place to land, a source of strength, and a forever home.
