For the first part of the day—the couple’s Hindu and Jain fusion wedding ceremony — Niti donned a raw silk, custom red and white lehenga created in Mumbai. Later for the reception, she changed into a more modern Indian outfit consisting of a crop top with tassels and skirt.
“I’m a very proud New Yorker, and my wedding venue had to embody that sentiment”. When we toured the outdoor space at The Hyatt for the first time, I remember freezing for a moment and thinking, ‘Wow, I really don’t need to decorate anything. I’ve got the Manhattan skyline as my backdrop,’” said Niti.
The reception music included a blend of genres, from Bollywood and EDM to reggae and hip-hop, all the guests danced throughout the night. There were even surprise performances by Niti's cousins who spent hours practicing a medley of Niti's favourite numbers.
The colours used for Niti and Rachit's vibrant Indian wedding, transitioned from bright shades of pink for the traditional ceremony to deep purples for the festive dance party that followed.
Niti Sheth, a consultant and Rachit Patel, working in risk management, met in high school.
From Afro-Egyptian tribal sundowners to Mediterranean-style carnivals, Rikin and Sakshi’s wedding was a masterclass in how Indian celebrations are embracing global inspirations while staying deeply personal.
Blending Indian and Turkish traditions against Malta’s timeless Mediterranean charm, Sonali and Kenan’s wedding was an intimate yet grand celebration of love.
