Real Weddings: A Rock N Roll Tale Of Two Weddings And A Concert
Call it a match made in artistic heaven when pageant queen, television anchor and model Aradhana Nayar tied the knot with metal guitarist and architect Raul Bellgard.
The college sweethearts met almost a decade ago during an interview and it was love at first sight...well, almost. Take a sneak-peek at the couple's private celebrations - two weddings and reception turned into an impromptu concert.
"The groom is a Christian and the bride is from Kerala. So, Aradhana and Raul had a church wedding followed by a cocktail in the evening. Then, there was a South Indian wedding followed by a reception.
"The groom is a Christian and the bride is from Kerala. So, Aradhana and Raul had a church wedding followed by a cocktail in the evening. Then, there was a South Indian wedding followed by a reception. The fact that they had four different functions and two different styles of weddings is special in itself. It was also the most unconventional and happiest wedding I have covered where no one cried even at the time of Bidai," says Akhil Bagga, the photographer at the celebrations.

"It did take a lot of convincing from his side to finally meet and I ended up taking my best friend along on our first date! But, that's the day I realised that he is a soft-spoken, well-mannered boy because he very patiently handled our bullying. It’s been 11 years since and today, we are married. There have been ups and downs in our relationship during this course but every confrontation has only made us closer to each other," says the bride.

"I met Raul when I was in college and interning with a leading news channel. One of my assignments was to interview a metal band and he turned out to be one of the band members. Things were very formal initially because he assumed I was a journalist and not a college student! I liked him the minute I saw and heard him play the guitar.
Much later on (and after a lot of prodding), I found out that he fell in love with my eyes when we first met," says Aradhana.
