A dream wedding in Bali: Saadhya Singampalli and Ashwin Reddy’s unforgettable three-day celebration

The couple's wedding, filled with stunning decor, heartfelt tributes, and unforgettable dance floor moments, beautifully reflected their love story and strong ties to family and culture.

Saadhya Singampalli and Ashwin Reddy’s wedding at the stunning Ayana Resort in Bali, Indonesia, was a celebration of love, culture, and unforgettable moments. Held from August 14–16, 2024, this three-day extravaganza beautifully blended Telugu traditions with deeply personal touches, reflecting the couple's love story of over a decade. From a blush pink crystal mandap set against the breathtaking Indian Ocean to an unforgettable tropical disco after-party, every moment designed by RVR Eventz & Design was meticulously curated to be both timeless and one-of-a-kind.

The love story: A journey of ten years

Saadhya and Ashwin’s journey began in college with what seemed like a simple, serendipitous interaction that quickly blossomed into a summer of nonstop conversations. From that moment, their bond grew steadily over the next ten years. Saadhya, a Business Development Lead at Unapologetic Foods in NYC, was born in Hyderabad and raised in Bakersfield, California. Ashwin, a Sales Operations Manager at LinkedIn, hails from the Bay Area, with family roots in Nizamabad, Telangana. Their shared experiences and complementary personalities made their love story all the more beautiful.

In May 2023, Ashwin proposed to Saadhya in Marrakesh, Morocco, marking the beginning of their wedding journey, which culminated in a destination celebration in Bali—a place that resonated deeply with both of them.

Blending cultures and personal stories

The wedding was a perfect balance of honoring their Telugu heritage and celebrating their shared journey. The couple’s cultural roots were visible throughout the wedding, from the intricate kanjeevaram sarees worn by the bridal party to the vintage-inspired wedding saree Saadhya wore during the ceremony. Each detail echoed their deep connection to their heritage while adding a unique, personal touch to the celebration.

One of the most touching aspects of the wedding was the couple’s tribute to loved ones. At the welcome dinner, a stunning display of wedding portraits spanned generations—showcasing images of grandparents, parents, and even friends who had recently tied the knot. This heartfelt tribute symbolized the union of their families and the love that had been passed down through the years.

Personalized touches: A reflection of their love

Every element of the wedding was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple's shared history. Instead of traditional table numbers, the dinner tables were named after cities and places that had shaped Saadhya and Ashwin’s relationship. A message on the seating board perfectly encapsulated their sentiments: “Over the past 10 years, we’ve been fortunate to create unforgettable memories with each other and with all of you in these cherished places. Home isn’t just where we grew up—it’s the many places that have become a part of our story together.”

This personal touch made the celebration feel even more intimate, as each guest could reflect on their own memories and experiences with the couple, making the wedding truly a celebration of love and shared journeys.

Unforgettable moments from the wedding

The wedding festivities began with a vibrant and traditional South Indian ceremony at the Bale Kencana Courtyard. The decor, bursting with South Indian floral arrangements and bright red chillies—symbols of prosperity—set the tone for the celebrations to come.

Welcome dinner

Held at the Champa Garden, the welcome dinner embraced a whimsical Balinese boho theme, with soft peach and cream tones, airy decor, and twinkling outdoor lighting that made the evening feel like a dream. Guests were greeted by wedding portraits that bridged generations, showcasing the importance of family in Saadhya and Ashwin’s lives.

Sangeet

The Sangeet, held in the grand Ayana Ballroom, was a celebration of music and dance. With a vintage retro theme, the lively event was filled with nostalgic elements and unforgettable performances, highlighting the couple’s journey and their close-knit bond with friends and family.

Ceremony and wedding dinner

The wedding ceremony took place at the Sky Amphitheatre, where a blush pink crystal mandap was set against the dramatic backdrop of the Indian Ocean. The symbolism of the crystal mandap, reflecting purity and eternity, was the perfect representation of Saadhya and Ashwin’s love story. Following the ceremony, the wedding dinner at Sky Lawn was bathed in the glow of a starry night ambiance. The couple curated a special playlist with Ashwin’s father, featuring timeless classics by Kishore Kumar, P. Susheela, and A.R. Rahman—creating an unforgettable atmosphere for the couple’s first night as newlyweds.

After party

Departing from the traditional black-tie reception, the couple embraced a high-energy tropical disco at the Ayana Ballroom. With vibrant outfits—Saadhya in an embroidered red skirt set and Ashwin in a matching silk linen red top—the after-party was a refreshing departure from the formal vibe. The energy was contagious, and guests danced under the stars well into the night, making it a perfect end to the wedding festivities.

A beautiful celebration of love and culture

From the stunning decor to the heartfelt tributes and unforgettable dance floor moments, Saadhya and Ashwin’s wedding was a celebration that reflected their love story and their deep connection to family and culture. The blend of Telugu traditions, personal touches, and a breathtaking Balinese backdrop made their three-day celebration an event to remember—one that will forever be etched in the memories of all who attended.

Their wedding wasn’t just a union of two people; it was a celebration of a love story that has spanned a decade, marked by growth, adventure, and a shared vision for the future. For Saadhya and Ashwin, this was only the beginning of their next chapter—one that promises to be just as unforgettable as the days they spent in Bali.
