How Dhanistha and Arjun turned their love for adventure into an immersive celebration

This wedding afterparty set the bar with trippy lights and a psychedelic, rollercoaster-inspired journey.

Weddings often follow a familiar rhythm, but Dhanistha and Arjun were never interested in predictability. They wanted their wedding celebration to feel alive, immersive, and reflective of the journey they have shared so far: full of energy, curiosity, and movement.

That desire took shape as The Reckless Ride, an immersive afterparty conceptualised by Jai Sharma, Founder of Envelop. Designed as a multi-sensory experience rather than a decorative setup, the afterparty transformed the hotel into a living world of light, sound, and illusion. What emerged was not just a party, but an environment that guests could move through and feel in real life.

An experience, not decor

From the beginning, The Reckless Ride was envisioned as something wild and tech-forward. Inspired by a lost amusement park with a rebellious, psychedelic edge, the space reinterpreted nostalgia through a contemporary lens. Flickering lights, kinetic installations, 3D glasses for guests, and a rollercoaster-inspired dance floor created a setting that felt constantly in motion.

Set within the hotel’s Indo-Islamic architecture, the afterparty unfolded as a five-zone journey. Each zone was designed around the emotional highs and lows of a rollercoaster, building anticipation, release, and exhilaration as guests moved through the space. Steel, light, and sound were treated as living materials. Walls pulsed, floors responded to movement, and the environment behaved more like theatre than traditional decor.

Translating a relationship into a physical world

For Dhanistha and Arjun, the concept resonated deeply with how they see their relationship. Both are curious and expressive in their own ways, drawn to experiences that feel dynamic and slightly unexpected. Dhanistha’s creative confidence and comfort with risk complements Arjun’s openness to adventure and experimentation, creating a balance that thrives on trust.

Because their journey together, much like a ride, has been shaped by turns, pauses, highs, and moments of momentum.

By blending architecture, storytelling, and technology, the afterparty pushed the boundaries of what a wedding celebration can look and feel like. More than an aesthetic statement, The Reckless Ride became a cultural one. It reflects a generation of couples who want their celebrations to mirror how they live and love. For guests, it was not just something to witness, but an experience in itself, something that they will definitely remember and talk about for a long time.
