Infused with the ingredients that go in your regular smoothie but more...smoothie bowls are a delicious and healthy way to kickstart your day. Bonus, they are literally ready within minutes without much effort!
So, here's a version of smoothie bowl to try out by Deepti Nanda, head chef and founder of Mom's Kitchen.
Pink Earth Smoothie
Prep Time: 15 Min
Cooking Time: 5 Min
Serves: 2 Persons
Ingredients
1 ½ Cups (375ml) - Plant Milk / Yogurt
1 Cup (100gms) - Frozen Strawberries
1 Cup (100gms) - Frozen Raspberries
1 Peeled - Orange
1 Medium - Carrot, rough chopped
1 Small - BeetRoot, peeled & quartered
½ Cup (50gms) - Frozen Chopped Zucchini
¾ Cup (70gms) - Roasted Cashews
¼ Cup (25gms) - Coconut Powder
¼ Cup (25gms) - Chia Seeds, soaked
Method
Add Milk/Yogurt, Strawberries, Raspberries, Orange, Carrot, BeetRoot & Zucchini to a High Volt Blender and blend for a few minutes until smooth.
Immediately pour into a bowl and garnish with coconut powder, berries, chia Seeds, roasted cashews
Nutrition Tips
1. Try to use plant-based milk that is rich in Calcium (120mg Cal / 100ml) per serving
2. Can use Greek yoghurt or any flavoured yoghurt which is probiotic in nature and rich in Protein
3. Using chia seeds gives an extra boost of Omega -3 and Protein
