Bridal couture reigned supreme at FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week 2025

From structured drapes to dreamy pastels, this year’s top designers brought fresh, fabulous looks to the bridal runway.

This year’s FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week embraced a seamless blend of tradition and modernity, with several designers presenting looks that spoke directly to the contemporary bride. From romantic pearls and glistening mirrorwork to sculpted minimalism and structured silhouettes, the runway served up a rich tapestry of ideas. Whether you're drawn to timeless elegance or avant-garde edge, these standout collections are exactly what you need to build your high-fashion bridal moodboard.

Tarun Tahiliani

With 'Quintessence', Tarun Tahiliani presented a collection that distils 30 years of design excellence into one sweeping narrative. Think sculpted yet fluid silhouettes, delicate pearl and resham embroidery, and a gentle grace that reminded us of just how captivating lightness and clarity in craft can be.

Ritu Kumar

Ritu Kumar’s 'Threads of Time: Reimagined' offered a deeply layered tribute to Indian textile traditions. Her historic return to the Couture Week stage was marked by a seamless flow between corseted jackets, flowing silks, vintage florals, and crystal-draped silhouettes. The muted gold and burnished red palette added a touch of nostalgia.

Falguni Shane Peacock

'Raj Mahal Bijoux – The Palace of Jewels' by Falguni Shane Peacock was a visual feast of jewel tones with a dramatic edge of glamour. With a reverential nod to Baroda’s marble peacocks and Jaipur’s frescoes, royal architecture and heirloom craftsmanship were woven into capes, saree gowns, and sculptural drapes, resulting in an opulent vision of the modern Maharani.

Roseroom by Isha Jajodia

In 'Whispers Of Love To Myself', Isha Jajodia explored the meaningful arc of womanhood. Featuring soft blushes and whites, layered Chantilly lace, translucent tulle, and sculptural corsets, the collection celebrated the duality of forms that range from fragile to fierce.

Amit Aggarwal

In true Amit Aggarwal style, 'ARCANUM' was a cerebral, sculptural take on couture, inspired by the DNA helix and the passage of time coded within us. Collaborations with Isvari Jalandhar and Nebula by Titan added a layer of depth, and each outfit was a celebration of emotional resonance, ideal for the unconventional bride.

Rimzim Dadu

'Oxynn' by Rimzim Dadu was inspired by the fierce, untamed spirit of Gujarat’s Banjara tribes. The collection deconstructed and reinterpreted traditional crafts such as patola weaving and mirror embellishment through the designer’s signature material innovation, resulting in silhouettes that are both fluid and architectural.

Manish Malhotra

Leave it to Manish Malhotra to transform the runway into revelry with 'Inaya'. Think swirly skirts with hypnotic movement, fluidly draped cocktail sarees with crystal pallus, sculpted embellished tops, and contoured gowns. It also presented a sharper spin on eveningwear, with sleek sculpted tuxedos, cropped bandhgalas, and sharply tailored suits.

The FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week was not just a spectacle of style, but also a powerful statement on the evolving interpretation of bridal fashion.
