Recreating your wedding after years? Here’s what to keep in mind

Cosy, intimate celebrations FTW!

You know who is more adorable than a newly-wed couple? Couples who have lived and loved. For 10, maybe 25, maybe 50 years. School sweethearts or ‘arranged’ couples, there’s something so wholesome about couples who have grown old together and continue to. And what better way to celebrate this togetherness than renewing vows and recreating that magical moment in the company of your loved ones?

If you are all kicked about the idea, then here are some things you need to keep in mind to make it a day to remember.

Pick a theme

It’ll be the perfect throwback to the good old times as you make your guests dress up and wear clothes that reflected the time where you got married or maybe something contemporary and chic.

Choosing a venue

If you ask us, the location of your renewal ceremony will set the tone for the celebration. Imagine the gushy feeling and the butterflies you will have, if you go back to the place where it all started or a restaurant you have regularly been visiting, or a destination where the family always heads out for the holidays! We already hear your guests going ‘awww’.

The guest list

Your guest list is as important as the celebration. Friends, family, and the important people in your lives, who have been with you through the journey, are the only ones who should be present for the occassion. It is a good opportunity to let them know they hold a special place in your lives.  You know what would be super cute? To get your children or the person who played cupid, to walk you down the aisle.

The vows and rituals

Spend some time on this. Do you want to do what you did the first time? Or do something completely new and surprise people. The same goes for the rings as well. The way we see it, there won’t be a better occasion to buy yourself and your better half a pair of new ones.
