Evelyn Sharma Shares How Lockdown Brides Can Plan Their Sustainable Wedding

The actor's recent French country themed wedding can inspire many stunning lockdown nuptials.

Actor Evelyn Sharma and fiance Tushaan Bhindi recently said 'I Do' in a stunning and sustainable Australian countryside wedding in Brisbane. Elegant and simple, the wedding had a casual yet chic Parisian vibe.

Tushaan had popped the question in an equally gorgeous set-up in 2019. Evelyn had told Brides Today, 'Among all things great and Aussie, my favourite memory, of course, is when Tushaan proposed to me with the Harbour Bridge in the backdrop. So...it is the perfect place to pop the question!

We caught up with the actor to know more about her minimalistic stylish wedding and honeymoon plans!

How did the pandemic affect your wedding preparations?

Our wedding theme was French country style. I fell in love with my wedding dress the minute I saw it. It was perfect and everything that I wanted in a wedding dress. As for the wedding, we had to downsize dramatically from what we had originally planned. However, we are looking forward to a big reception once that’s possible again.

What is your advice for other brides-to-be who are planning a wedding during the pandemic?

Don’t wait or fuss too much for a big, grand wedding. Just go for it! Borrow a dress, rent your decorations, and create zero waste to make your intimate celebration eco-friendly. Just remember that what really matters is the union with the one you love. A big party with your friends and family can always happen later.

What are your honeymoon plans?

We travel only within Australia, there are so many amazing places to see.
