Chris Evans marries girlfriend Alba Baptista in an intimate, star-studded ceremony

If you’ve always been someone who’s crushed hard on Marvel star and Sexiest Man Alive according to People magazine, Chris Evans—we’ll admit we’ve definitely part of his fan club—we’ve got some news for you. He is married!

The 42-year-old actor tied the knot with Portuguese actress Alba Baptista on a private estate in Cape Cod, Massachusetts on the outskirts of Boston on September 9, Saturday. 

Even though the ceremony was an intimate affair, with not much details of it being revealed, many of Evans’ Marvel costars were spotted in the area, presumably to attend the wedding. Robert Downey Jr. along with his wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Else Pataky, and Jeremy Renner were seen dining and chatting at the Contessa restaurant in the five-star Newbury Boston hotel on Saturday, as per reports. John Krasinki and Emily Blunt too were also seen returning from the wedding festivities around midnight. 

The news of the wedding doesn’t come as a complete surprise though. Last year in November 2022, People had reported that Evans and 26-year-old Baptista were in a serious relationship and had been dating for nearly a year. This year on Valentine's Day, Evans had made his relationship official by sharing a photo montage of himself and Baptista, where the Captain America star included adorable shots of the two hiking and travelling together, along with indulging in some good old PDA. Shortly before that, Evans had also shared a funny video compilation on his Instagram story where Baptista and he were seen doing laundry, pranking each other, and simply walking past each other. Now this is what we call couple goals!

Baptista and Evans co-starred in the Netflix drama series Warrior Nun, a role Baptista is known for, in addition to her appearance in the 2022 film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

The talented actress is also known for her contribution to social and humanitarian work in the field of education at an orphanage in Cambodia. She also won the Shooting Star award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2021.
