When Ed Sheeran was crooning about keeping love in a photograph and making memories for ourselves, he might not have meant wedding pictures, but we’ll go ahead and assume he did because nothing defines love as beautifully as the photos clicked on your big day. In an age where everything is shared online, especially every moment of your wedding (read: customised hashtags, filters, and stories), it’s important to get a photographer on board that will not only do justice to such a momentous event but will also make it look social media-worthy. So, we did a bit of searching and found five wedding photographers on the ‘gram who get the job done, and get it done well!
Joseph Radhik
Name a celebrity wedding, and it’s likely that Joseph Radhik and his studio was behind the stunning images. Having photographed the Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas celebrations, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s Italian wedding to more recently the nuptials of Athiya Shetty-KL Rahul and Masaba Gupta-Satyadeep Mishra, Radhik has done it all. His pictures beautifully capture the emotions of the celebrations, and more often than not make the most of natural light for an ethereal effect.
Siddharth Sharma of House on the Clouds
The man behind the dreamy wedding pictures of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor last year, Siddharth Sharma and his venture House on the Clouds should be on your radar if you’re on the lookout for stunning images that speak a thousand words. His forte is bringing out the joy of the big day even through muted colour tones and black and white pictures. Plus, he’s known for taking the wedding shoot out of the usual location—think swimming pools, in front of stark landscapes, atop a helipad, and more.
Aayushi Sachdeva and Kanishka Sonthalia of The Wedding Salad
If you’re looking for someone to capture the extravagance of your big fat wedding, then your search ends at photographer duo Aayushi Sachdeva and Kanishka Sonthalia. They’re all about capturing jubilant smiles, candid laughter, and all the small and big moments in between. They work under their brand called The Wedding Salad, and have photographed more than 75 weddings. And not only weddings, they are perfect for intimate pre-wedding ceremonies and engagement sessions as well!
Sam and Ekta
Known for bringing the rawness and authenticity of street photography into wedding pictures, the husband-wife photographer duo Sam and Ekta like doing things differently. So, if an unconventional wedding ceremony is on your mind, then they should definitely be your pick. Having photographed celebrity nuptials like Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, they believe in capturing the real emotions.
Shruti Khanna and Jayant Chhabra of Cupcake Productions
If you’re looking to keep your wedding minimal and want a photographer who will reflect the same in their visuals, then the husband-wife duo Shruti Khanna and Jayant Chhabra should be on your list. Their emphasis is on keeping the bride and groom as the focus, and letting them shine, instead of letting the location or the decor steal the show. They’re also the ideal candidate if yours is a destination wedding, as they’ve shot in locales around the world—from Italy to Muscat. We’re a big fan of their candid captures!
