For a Cocktail or a Wedding, Get Inspired by These 15 Stunning Outfits from Bollywood Movies

Besides creating fabulous Indianwear attires for both Madhuri Dixit and Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani's beautiful brocade blouse and lehenga cast a spell on us right away! Playing mix and match with multiple colours, designer Manish Malhotra opted for a white lehenga with gold work and paired it with a rani pink brocade blouse and a green net dupatta. 

Sonam's costumes for the film were specially created by designer Anamika Khanna, and we sure did love everything about them. 

Alia’s traditional red and gold kanjeevaram sari as well as the exquisite pink, cobalt blue, and yellow sari, both showcased South Indian excellence. The movies costume design team which comprised of Manish Malhotra, Natascha Charak, Nikita Mohanty, and Shiraz Siddique well-showcased traditional South-Indian attires that we don't get to see as much in Bollywood movies. 

Every girl who loves fashion (and well, chic-flicks) has seen the movie Aisha. And given it's a Sonam Kapoor starrer, the fashion diva had to pull off a larger-than-life wardrobe! Whether it be the pristine white and lilac sequined lehenga or the dusky bronze sari, designer Ayesha Depala made sure that Sonam exuded the quintessential 'delhi-girl' vibe with her outfits. 

While the movie didn't particularly awe us, Alia's off-shoulder velvet black blouse and peach sari definitely did. All thanks to costume designers Archana Walavalkar, Ayesha Dasgupta, and Raquel Azevedo. 

From her multiple sari changes in the song 'teri ore' to the gorgeous blue and red wedding lehenga, Katrina Kaif certainly inspired us with her sartorial choices, designed by Shabina Khan. 

This movie offered inspiration galore...of all kinds! From the 'dilli wali girlfriend' sharara to the timeless 'badtameez dil' sari and the stunning sleeveless pink bando with the bright yellow lehenga, Deepika carried each and every outfit effortlessly. Costume designer...who other than Manish Malhotra?

Kavya (Alia Bhatt) served us some fabulous, iconic looks throughout the movie. From the gorgeous pink and green colour block combination lehenga to the sequined wedding outfit, the costume design team including Natascha Charak, Nikita Mohanty, Archana Walavalkar, and Prachiti Parakh got the job done well.  

Another sexy red and gold sari, perfect for a cocktail, was seen on Nushrratt in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Designer Niharika Jolly was handed over the responsibility for costume design and she certainly didn't disappoint. 

A sky blue and peach embellished lehenga? Yes, please! Manish Malhotra it is. 

While the song 'desi girl' certainly hit the charts, the sexy sequined sari worn by Priyanka stole as many hearts! Another magical piece of work by Manish Malhotra, this look is everything a girl wants to achieve for a cocktail party.

Manish Malhotra, Shabina Khan, and Rocky S took over costume design for K3G and oh did they do a good job or what?! 90's fashion trend setters, from the iconic pinkish-peach 'bole chudiyan' sharara to the red hot 'you are my soniya' outfit, there's absolutely nothing we didn't love about this film. 

A period drama, this movie was probably one of the first to showcase royal Indianwear attire at it's best. Designer Neeta Lulla delicately curated each and every piece worn by Aishwarya, further paired with layered necklaces, statement maang tikkas, and chunky kada bracelets. 

I think we all gasped when Anushka came on screen in this stunning nikah sharara by designer Manish Malhotra. She went on to accessorise this look with a matching emerald necklace and earring set, a nath, and an elegant statement passa. 

Designer duo, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla were responsible for creating this stunning pastel yellow lehenga in Veere Di Wedding. A mellow yellow with bright red accents and pristine pearl work, this off-shoulder lehenga is perfect for the modern, vivacious bride!
