One piece of advice: "A bride should enjoy every moment of her wedding with her close family that’s what this situation has taught us. When it’s an intimate affair, you can let ur hair loose and enjoy yourself without any pressure, just like Rana and Miheeka did."
What the pandemic taught us:" This pandemic definitely made executing a wedding tough! It has taught us how to do everything online. I think we have become experts on online shopping, and all the designers and vendors were helpful and accommodating in sending stuff over for us to see."
A dream wedding in the time of corona: Thanks to the pandemic this wedding felt like a roller coaster ride, but we decided to enjoy every moment. We had carried-out every function that we had thought of, from the mata-ki-chowki to the haldi, mehendi and wedding ceremony itself. Looking back, I realise that we got the opportunity to bond with the family, unlike a large affair where we would be busy looking after guests. Of course, Miheeka missed her friends and close family members who could not make it, but the rest of the family made it up to her."
The inspiration behind the wedding: "The wedding itself was very special to me since I have been dreaming of Miheeka's wedding for a long time. My inspiration came from the artist Vaikuntham, who is famous for his vibrant work. The theme for the nuptials was that of the artist going into an enchanted forest in his quest for vibrant colours. Since he tends to favour parrots in his art, we used them as a key decor element as well."
The Proposal: "It happened at the studio and was quite casual. I think he went down on his knees and proposed. I blinked and lo, Miheeka had said yes! That just goes to show how much she loves Rana."
How They Met: "Miheeka and Rana met at a small house party during the lockdown, but they have known each other through their families for a long time. As they got talking, they realised they had a lot in common and could relate to similar things, and so they fell in love."
