Seven years, seven vows, and a love story set to the rhythm of their hearts—singer-songwriter Armaan Malik and fashion content creator Aashna Shroff’s wedding was nothing short of a dream. From intimate moments to grand celebrations, the couple takes Brides Today inside their journey of love, music, and forever.
How they met
Armaan Malik and Aashna Shroff’s love story is one of destiny. Going back nearly eight years, their journey began in 2017. However, as all epic love stories go, theirs too wasn’t linear. Fate led them apart for two years, before reuniting them in 2019. From that moment on, their bond only deepened, leading them to take a leap of faith towards forever.
The next step
They made their relationship public in 2022, using music to immortalise every chapter of their love story. In August 2023, the Bollywood singer-songwriter proposed to Aashna in London with an original love song, titled ‘Kasam Se.’ In September, the couple shared a collaborative Instagram post of an empty apartment, which was soon to be their home. A month later, they finally made their engagement official, once again through Instagram, the standard today.
Leading up to the big day
A year of planning and speculation later, in December 2024, Armaan and Aashna tied the knot in a private ceremony. Marking the moment, Armaan captioned his wedding post with “Tu hi mera ghar,” alluding to his song ‘Ghar’ that features Aashna’s voice alongside his. He, in fact, released an EP, Saanvarey, as “a love letter to Aashna and to everything we’ve built together.” “Marrying the person I’ve loved for so long, after years of imagining this day, was a surreal and deeply emotional moment for me. I’m truly grateful for Aashna’s presence in my life, and I cannot wait to begin this beautiful new chapter with her by my side,” says Armaan.
Memories that will last a lifetime
Since they began planning their big day, the bride and groom both envisioned an all-white cocktail soirée—an immersive ‘Big Bow’ affair with towering cakes and flowing veils. For the traditional ceremonies, the couple hosted a ‘Mehfil-e-Mehendi,’ where the night echoed with soulful qawalis. During the wedding, they read seven vows to each other, each promise a reflection of the love and dreams they share.
Every detail, from décor to attire, was curated with thought and taste. From the initial sketches to the final fittings, their sartorial choices were a testament to their mutual love for fashion that’s deeply personal. With Armaan in pastel peach and Aashna in a complementing bold orange, their wedding ensembles were an appendage to their love language, attesting to their individuality and togetherness.
“As I stood there beside Aashna, exchanging vows, it felt surreal,” he says. “After seven beautiful years together, saying ‘I do’ in a ceremony that was uniquely ours felt like the perfect reflection of our journey: intimate, personal and filled with love. I’m truly grateful for Aashna’s presence in my life, and I cannot wait to begin this beautiful new chapter with her by my side.”
As for Aashna, she couldn’t have asked for a better partner to share the rest of her life with. “To be able to celebrate us, surrounded by the love and warmth of our closest friends and family, pouring our hearts out to each other, was beyond anything I had ever imagined,” she says. “Armaan is the most beautiful person I know, in and out, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to share the good and bad with for the rest of our lives.”
