Zendaya, are you trying to tell us you're engaged?

It’s the morning of the 82nd Golden Globes, and the red carpet is already giving us look after look. Ariana Grande dazzled in a bright yellow Givenchy gown, clearly inspired by her role in Wicked. Host Nikki Glaser kept things bold in a plunging 3D floral Prabal Gurung dress. Selena Gomez turned up in a sleek Prada gown, hand in hand with her fiancé Benny Blanco. Pamela Anderson kept it fresh and simple, continuing her no-makeup moment. Angelina Jolie brought her on-brand timeless glamour alongside her daughter Zahara, while Emma Stone showed off her brand-new pixie cut that perfectly matched her outfit.  

And then there’s Zendaya—stealing the show, as always. Nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, she made a stunning red carpet comeback in a custom burnt orange satin Louis Vuitton gown with matching pointed toe pumps. Styled by her go-to image architect, Law Roach, every little detail of her look was absolute perfection.  

Zendaya accessorised with jaw-dropping Bvlgari High Jewellery, including a platinum necklace featuring an oval Paraiba tourmaline and over 48 carats of diamonds. She paired it with a matching Paraiba tourmaline ring and diamond studs, but let’s be real—it wasn’t the Bulgari pieces that had everyone losing it. No, it was the other ring on her left hand.  

Fans didn’t waste a second, taking to social media to spiral into speculation. The piece in question? A cushion-cut diamond set east-west on a thin gold band—subtle but impossible to miss. Naturally, people are now wondering if Zendaya has finally said yes to Tom Holland.  

But let’s not forget—this isn’t the first time Zendaya’s been at the centre of ring-related chaos. Back in 2023, she posted an Instagram Story where she was wearing what looked like an engagement ring. The internet, of course, completely lost its mind, only for Zendaya to clarify shortly after. “I posted it for my hat! Like, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys! Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the news? You think, like, what?!” she said, leaving fans laughing at themselves for jumping the gun.  

Still, it’s hard not to wonder if this time it’s different. Zendaya and Holland, who’ve been together since 2021, rarely make joint red carpet appearances. Holland even explained why in a recent Men’s Health interview, saying, “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”  

So, while Holland wasn’t at the Golden Globes, fans are convinced that sparkling ring is Zendaya’s way of giving us a hint. Or maybe we’re all reading way too much into it again. Either way, Zendaya, if you are engaged, just tell us already—the internet’s not coping.
