From a classroom friendship to a Paris proposal, inside Meghna and Sneh's vibrant Bahrain wedding

Set against the scenic backdrop of Bahrain, Meghna Tharwani and Sneh Bajaj celebrated their union with a destination wedding that brought together family, culture, and joyful festivities. What made the celebrations special was the balance between grand celebrations and intimate moments shared with their closest friends and family.

The couple first met during their classes in Kalyan, Mumbai, where their friendship slowly blossomed into love. Bajaj proposed to Tharwani on August 25, 2021, marking the beginning of their journey together. Later, he surprised her with another proposal in Paris on December 27, adding a fairytale twist to their story. Their wedding celebrations reflected this personal journey, with every event designed to feel unique while staying connected through a sense of warmth and celebration.

A colourful mehendi celebration

The festivities began on February 2, 2026, with a lively mehendi celebration. Guests gathered for an afternoon filled with colour, music, and energetic performances. Bright decor elements and playful details set the tone for the days ahead, creating a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere where everyone could ease into the celebrations.

Honouring tradition with the Sindhi Laada

The following morning began with the Sindhi Laada ceremony, a meaningful ritual that celebrated the couple’s cultural roots. It was a heartfelt moment that brought both families together and added a strong sense of tradition to the wedding festivities. 

Surrounded by loved ones, Tharwani and Bajaj embraced the customs that form an important part of their heritage.

A magical Sufi sight

Later that evening, the celebrations transformed into an enchanting Sufi night. With soulful live music and an intimate setting, the evening became one of the most memorable parts of the wedding. 

Guests sang along, enjoyed the performances, and soaked in the warm atmosphere that filled the venue. For the couple, this night stood out as one of the most magical moments of the entire celebration.

Beach party and engagement

On February 4, the celebrations took a playful turn with a lively beach party by the sea. The relaxed setting gave guests a chance to unwind, dance, and enjoy the destination atmosphere. As evening arrived, the celebrations transitioned into a glamorous engagement ceremony filled with music, dancing, and heartfelt moments shared between friends and family.

The wedding day

The wedding ceremony took place on February 5 and was one of the most emotional moments of the celebration. Surrounded by their loved ones, Tharwani and Bajaj exchanged vows in a setting that reflected both elegance and warmth. The decor and overall experience were planned by Kkings Event, ensuring every function had its own distinct mood while still feeling connected to the larger celebration.

The festivities concluded with a lively celebration night, followed by a grand reception at The St Regis, Mumbai on February 13. With nearly 300 to 350 guests joining in across the celebrations, the wedding became a beautiful reminder of what matters most. 

For Tharwani and Bajaj, the true highlight was simply having their closest friends and family come together to celebrate their new beginning.
