After dating for a decade, this couple planned a wedding in just 15 days in Thailand

At Baba Beach Club, Hua Hin, Preeti and Avinash celebrated three days of Indian wedding traditions, Thai cultural experiences, and thoughtful details for their guests.

Avinash and Preeti’s relationship began at a friend’s wedding in 2016, when a mutual friend introduced the two. Both born and raised in Nepal, they were complete opposites in their values and outlook on life. Yet, over the years, their differences became part of a relationship built on understanding and the decision to keep choosing each other. Nearly a decade later, their wedding brought family and friends together at Baba Beach Club, Hua Hin, Thailand, from February 3 to 5, 2026.

The destination wedding came together under an unusually tight deadline. With their earlier plans falling through, the couple approached The Wedding Galore just 15 days before the celebrations were due to begin. A network of local vendors and late nights of coordination helped bring the three-day itinerary together, allowing the couple to focus on the occasion rather than the planning challenges.

A traditional welcome

The celebrations began with guest arrivals and a Bhaat ceremony, accompanied by singer Gurmeet Kaur. At the welcome dinner at Baba Beach Bar & Restaurant, the couple made their entry to saxophone music and firecrackers. A cake-cutting against a pyrotechnic waterfall, a Tiffany cabaret show, and a fire performance on the beach added to the evening’s entertainment.

Guests were welcomed with lemongrass drinks and cold towels, while traditional Thai performers, musicians, and hostesses offering garlands and tender coconuts introduced them to local customs. Sweets brought from Nepal added a personal touch. A dedicated lounge served tea and coffee throughout the day, with a chai station, local snacks, and evening comfort food available between functions.

Fun-filled celebrations

The following morning, the haldi took on a carnival-inspired format on the Garden Pavilion lawns. After a pooja, the couple entered to a flashmob before guests joined in games, including a challenge to create the longest fabric rope using dupattas. A custom perfume station and personalised passport and wallet stations gave the gathering an interactive edge, making it as much about spending time together as it was about the ceremony.

The sangeet moved indoors, with family performances, custom visuals, and a telephone-booth audio guestbook where guests could record messages for the couple. Avinash and Preeti made their entrance with backup dancers and a champagne pop, followed by a ring ceremony, and performances from family members. Trap Band took over later in the evening, while neon face painting added to the after-party, which continued until the early hours.

A beautiful beginning

On the final day, a lively baraat featuring a decorated convertible, DJ truck, and dhol players led to the wedding ceremony at Baan Chok. After the Milni brought both families together, Preeti made her entrance with her sisters and an audio-recorded message for Avinash. Flowers and colours marked the varmala, while fireworks accompanied the sindoor ceremony.

After nearly ten years together, Avinash and Preeti’s wedding brought their story to a new chapter. Despite the short planning window, the celebrations made room for Indian traditions, Thai hospitality, and personal moments that reflected the journey they had shared.
