A beachside bash: The love story of Kyraa Manchandani and Hardik Pahwa

The couple tied the knot against a surreal sunset in Thailand.

After six years of dating, strategy and marketing whizz Kyraa Manchandani and businessman Hardik Pahwa tied the knot in a surreal sunset ceremony just north of Phuket in Thailand. A yacht party, a haldi that ended in the sea, a pool party, sufi night, beach wedding and finally a cocktail after-party made it an event to remember. Here’s how....

How they met

“We lived on the same block, and a common colony friend introduced us in 2009. We were friends for a  few years and lost touch for a year or two, before we eventually reconnected and started dating in 2016.”

Leading up to the big day

“Our families have been incredibly close for decades. After dating for over six years, this felt like a very natural next step. With my sister as the wedding planner, all her trusted vendors and my own friends in the industry, the wedding prep felt seamless. What made everything smoother was having enough time to browse through different locations and giving ourselves enough time to make the final decision.”

Memories that will last a lifetime

“Every event felt like a dream—from the beachside haldi that ended with us in the sea, to the most beautiful jaimala and pheras at sunset, and our after-party where we had a ball pit for photo-ops! The moment that stood out the most has to be when we saw each other just before the pheras. It felt surreal to finally see each other at the beach wedding we had been talking about for years, with the perfectly timed sunset in the backdrop.”

My Advice

“Choose your crew wisely, from every vendor you will work with, to the friends you have close—they make or break your wedding. The people around you should be making this process easy and fun for you. So take your time to find those who understand you and can execute your vision.”
