A cross-cultural love story set against the romance of Tuscany

Photographed by The Photo Lab, Nikita and Cameron’s Florence wedding unfolded as a seamless blend of Indian and Persian traditions framed by timeless Italian grandeur.

Set amidst the rolling hills and Renaissance beauty of Florence, Nikita and Cameron’s wedding was a poetic celebration of cultures, family and shared heritage. With guests travelling from across the world, the couple envisioned a destination wedding that felt intimate yet luxurious, rooted in tradition and elevated by its European setting. Tuscany became the perfect canvas for this cross-cultural union, where Indian rituals, Persian symbolism and Italian elegance came together very beautifully. Captured by The Photo Lab, every moment reflected warmth and an effortless sense of romance, transforming their multi-day celebration into a visual story of love that felt deeply personal and undeniably timeless.

The beginning of a modern romance

Nikita and Cameron’s story began in 2019 in the most unassuming of settings, a downtown Los Angeles office where they worked at the same investment management firm. Assigned desks placed them just a few feet apart, and what started as casual exchanges soon turned into an easy friendship built on shared humour, favourite shows and everyday rituals. During the pandemic lockdown, that friendship deepened organically, laying the foundation for a lasting partnership. Years later, now settled in West Hollywood with their pug Pepper, Cameron proposed on a yacht off the coast of Santa Monica in August 2023. What followed was a thoughtful journey of planning a destination wedding that reflected both their worlds, culminating in their Florence celebration in September 2025.

A sangeet in the heart of Florence

The festivities began with a spirited sangeet at Giardino Corsini, a historic Florentine garden that offered an enchanting blend of nature and architecture. Indian music and dance brought vibrant energy to the space, while the venue’s old-world charm grounded the evening in elegance. The celebration set the tone for the days to follow, joyful, warm and beautifully layered.

A serene Hindu ceremony among Tuscan hills

The Hindu wedding ceremony took place at Villa Corsini, a Mezzomonte overlooking Tuscany’s iconic landscapes. Soft pastel hues, restrained floral décor and the villa’s Renaissance backdrop created an atmosphere of calm intimacy. The morning pheras unfolded with quiet grace, allowing tradition to shine without excess, as family and friends gathered to witness the sacred rituals.

A Persian ceremony bathed in candlelight

Later that evening, the villa transformed for the Sofreh Aghd, the Persian wedding ceremony. Held in a glowing courtyard, the setting was adorned with candles, crystals and symbolic elements that honoured Persian heritage. The ceremony felt deeply emotional and reflective, adding another layer of meaning to the wedding narrative.

A night of celebration under the Tuscan sky

The celebrations concluded with cocktails, dinner and dancing back at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte. As the Tuscan night unfolded, guests came together beneath the stars for a reception that felt cinematic yet intimate, marking a joyful close to a multi-cultural wedding journey.

Captured through The Photo Lab’s lens

Chosen for their ability to balance vibrancy with authenticity, The Photo Lab brought a sensitive and editorial eye to the celebration. Founded by Devansh Rangani and Harsh Mehta, the Mumbai-based photography and film collective is known for capturing real moments with sincerity and emotional depth. Their approach allowed Nikita and Cameron to feel completely at ease, resulting in images that feel natural, intimate and enduring. What began as a chance discovery on social media grew into a creative partnership rooted in trust and shared vision.

Nikita and Cameron’s Florence wedding stands as a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are those that honour individuality while embracing togetherness. With Indian and Persian traditions woven seamlessly into a Tuscan setting, their wedding was not just a destination affair, but a heartfelt expression of love, heritage and modern romance, preserved forever through The Photo Lab’s thoughtful lens.
