Yes, you’re in Jaipur, cradling your drink for the night, a refreshing passion fruit, pineapple, and lime concoction, but the truth is you could be in any bar in India right now. The modern interiors are amiss with recognizable Rajasthani elements, which the interior designer tells us is deliberate. This is what makes Ohana Cocktail Bar and Kitchen stand out from the rest of the burgeoning restaurants and bars in Jaipur—its decidedly contemporary approach, not only to the interiors, but to the food and drinks as well.
Brides Today got the first taste of the new rooftop cocktail bar and kitchen earlier this month. Read ahead to discover what’s in store for you on your visit, and why Ohana makes for the perfect bachelorette party destination.
Expansive interiors that don’t compromise on cosy corners

It’s an exciting time for gourmands in the Pink City right now, with a meteoric rise in the number of new restaurants and bars coming up, and Ohana, India’s largest rooftop cocktail bar is all set to take it to the next level. Located in the GT Central Mall in the happening district of Malviya Nagar that is a short 10 minutes drive from the airport, the first word that comes to mind when you enter the two-storey bar is massive, given it spans 37,000 square feet. But don’t mistake the sheer expanse for a lack of intimate corners—the space has been expertly divided into smaller indoor and outdoor sections that seamlessly flow into each other. The indoor dining area is all French chic, with white and beige interiors, while the al fresco section is moody, with its little corners you can retire to with a drink in hand as you admire the stunning view of the sunset. The shots room, and the sky bar along with the club on the second storey have a electric and modernistic vibe, ideal for letting your hair down with your girlfriends. This approach to the interiors is not a surprise, given the name of the bar, ‘Ohana’, means family in the Hawaiian, which translates to the ambience—there’s something for everyone here.
Perfect for your bachelorette party
This is why it makes for such a great place to host a bachelorette party at. One of the biggest qualms when travelling with a group, or throwing a party for your friends, is the distinct needs of each person, and trying to cater to all of them. But at Ohana, you can rest assured that whether it’s your foodie friend who just wants to have a nice sit-down meal, or your bestie who wants to dance it out, everyone will be happy, without having to location hop. Our suggestion? Drop by in the evening for a sundowner that is straight out of your Pinterest board, giving you and your girlfriends plenty of time to get those shots for the ‘gram in golden hour. Then, grab a quick bite, or enjoy a nice meal at the indoor dining area. Post that, you can try out the interesting cocktails at the sky bar, before ending the night by clubbing. A bachelorette party that will be one for the books, for sure!
Indian food with a modern twist

We got a taste of the extensive pan-Asian menu at Ohana, where the food, curated by head chef Kshama Prabhu, is as good as the drinks. We recommend you try a little of bit of everything from the bar nibbles section, which includes dishes like a fusion pav bhaji fondue, spiced corn ribs, a wholesome Indian mezze platter, and rawa fried prawns, among other dishes. Don’t miss the tandoori platters if you’re a fan of all things grilled! The expertly-crafted cocktails complement the dishes perfectly—you can enjoy the classics on the menu, or ask the mixologists at the bar to whip up something special for you.
