#BTExplores The City Of Angels For The Cinephile Couple

Actor Soundarya Sharma tells you how to explore Los Angeles in the Hollywood way straight from the Southern California city.

I am in LA to attend the intensive coaching at the Lee Strasberg and New York Film Academy. So, I would say it’s a work trip. So far, my plan is to work hard during the weekdays and be on leisure during the weekends.

I ended up staying in a private apartment in West Hollywood. West Hollywood, or WeHo as it’s known to the locals, is one of those LA hoods that always seems to be buzzing with fun things to do. Known for its diverse culture and situated halfway between the beach and Downtown, West Hollywood appeals to locals and tourists alike. Within its compact 1.9 square miles, there is a lot to discover, from the off-the-beaten-path theatre and world-famous comedy to socializing on rooftop bars and more.

LA is the entertainment capital of the world, a cultural mecca boasting more than 100 museums, many of them world-class, and a paradise of idyllic weather

Known to many as ‘The City of Angels,’ Los Angeles is truly the place to be to have an experience of a lifetime. With its incredible nightlife, gorgeous beaches, endless streets of shopping, world-class restaurants, LA has loads of cool stuff to do and see.

So many things to do

I have just started to explore this beautiful city, have recently been to Hermosa Beach for dinner.

I have been enjoying hiking during the weekend at Runyon Canyon. As I am living in Hollywood, I have visited the famous walk of fame and Hollywood Boulevard. The trip has been a pleasant rollercoaster especially because I invited at the famous 87eleven workshop to meet director Chad Stahelski of the John Wick fame.

The Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers and then, TCL Chinese Theatre are on my must-see list and so is a cruise at the Sunset Boulevard.

I would be visiting the Venice Beach, Zuma Beach, Santa Monica Pier and Beach. Definitely will want to see a show at Walt Disney Concert Hall and swing by Los Angeles County Museum of Art to admire its collection.

Los Angeles is filled with many little nooks and crannies, which give it its unique personality. And it’s easy to find yourself discovering something new everyday, one of the spots I loved was during my weekend trek, it was Moutain Top Hill, refreshing and had a beautiful view of the famous Hollywood signage.

I am a foodie and have been trying every cuisine, including Korean, Thai, Japanese and best of best Indian during my stay here.

However, being a vegetarian, my choices are limited but I am still enjoying it. Bon Temps does everything from incredible morning pastries to an elegant fine dining-style dinner in Arts District, while Pasjoli in Santa Monica prepares polished French bistro fare just steps from the ocean. Onda in Santa Monica, while Yang’s Kitchen is a wow.

Must-try at Jones in WeHo, Eataly at century city. LA is the ultimate Taco town and they should definitely feature on your foodie itinerary. Oh! And, you should definitely try the Avocado Toast.

I am still living my dream in this beautiful city and even though it would be too early to state my favourite memory, LA has been a fun experience that you should not miss on your wanderlust-list.
