#BTExperts Chef Anahita Dhondy Tells You How To Whip Up A Delicious No-Bake Aphrodisiac Dessert

A home-made Banoffee Pie is just the sweet closure you need on a dinner date with bae.

Bored of eating same ol' slices of cake or slivers of Kaju barfi as dessert? Then, add a healthy (and easy!) helping of sweetness to your mealtimes with this recipe.

Infused with ancient aphrodisiac and very healthy Bananas as well as oodles of cream, this Banoffee Pie is a constant staple in the household of Chef Anahita N Dhondy, Chef-Partner, SodaBottleOpenerWala CyberHub.  She says, 'I think that the easiest dessert to prepare for a dinner party would be a Banoffee pie which is a no-bake dessert. I read this banoffee pie recipe in a cookbook when I was 13 or 14 and I've been making it for my closest friends birthday parties ever since. It gets over in 30 seconds.'

Ingredients

Milkmaid 1 tin

Bananas 4

Marie biscuit pack of 3

Butter 200gm

Fresh cream (I prefer Gopala) 500gm

Icing sugar 100gm

Vanilla essence 1 cap

1. In a pressure cooker, put the milkmaid tin (unopened) pour water up to 3/4th level, and remove the whistle and keep it on a low flame for 50mins. This is your CARAMEL, this is 'Dulce de Leche'

2. Once it's cooked, remove and cool. Don't open it when it's hot, it will splutter and burn you completely. It's caramel, it's boiling hot sugar SO BE CAREFUL. Let this cool. You could do this a day in advance too.

3. While it's cooling, in a blender crush the biscuits till it's fine. Remove in a bowl. Rub in the butter till it's Sandy in texture.

4. Line your pie dish with a little butter, add the biscuit crumb and flatten evenly. You could use your fingers and then with the help of a katori neaten it.

5. Keep this in the fridge to cool harden.

6. While it's cooling, whip the cream till soft peak, add the sifted icing sugar, vanilla essence and mix.

7. Slice the bananas (some people puree it, but I like it a bit chunky, so slightly thickish slices)

8. Now we assemble! Get the pie dish out of the fridge, spread out the caramel, arrange the bananas evenly and then pour the cream.

9. Leave it to set for a few hours.

10. When ready to serve, grate some chocolate or even crumble some chocolate biscuits and you are ready to eat some delish pie!
