Rejoice, #Vickat fans! The 'too-good-to-be-true' couple is *finally* hitched. Actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot on 9th December at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan. Ever since the news of their courtship broke, fans have kept an eye out for updates—which the couple managed to skilfully conceal for a rather long while.
Last evening, the couple took fans out of their misery by sharing the first glimpses from their dreamy nuptials (we're not crying, you are!) For the wedding pheras, the couple turned muse for master couturier Sabyasachi, donning exquisite ensembles by the designer. Katrina opted for bridal red with gold accents, while Vicky complemented her in a royal ivory sherwani. The lovebirds were styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania and Akshay Tyagi.
In the words of the designer, 'Katrina Kaif wears a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. Her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade Kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold—a nod to Vicky's cultural roots.' To add a dash of elegance, the bride pulled her hair back into a tight bun and embellished it with fragrant mogra flowers.
The groom, on the other hand, 'wears an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar. The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders.'
Heartiest congratulations to the gorgeous couple!
