Kalyan Jewellers unveils flagship showroom in South Extension with bridal styling masterclass

An exclusive preview event brought together fashion insiders to explore bridal jewellery through a contemporary styling lens.

The great Indian wedding contains multitudes. At the heart of its many thematic festivities lie just as many functions, each with its own sartorial code. Diamonds with sequins, temple necklaces with heritage embroideries, polki with silks: the permutations are endless. What eases a bride’s journey more than anything is finding every piece of jewellery she could possibly need under one roof — and having a designer to guide those pairings. A masterclass in motion, set against the backdrop of Kalyan Jewellers’ new flagship showroom unveiled in collaboration with Brides Today, delivered precisely that.

Kalyan Jewellers marked the launch of its South Extension, Delhi flagship with an exclusive preview showcasing its expanded bridal and occasion collections to industry professionals and fashion media. Conceived as a destination for wedding and celebratory shopping, the space brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design within a refined retail setting. From heritage-inspired pieces to modern silhouettes, the collections cater to both the classic bride and the fashion-forward minimalist. Guests were invited to experience and try on select pieces, underscoring the brand’s longstanding reputation for bridal jewellery and meticulous craftsmanship.

The collections on display featured polki, diamonds, temple jewellery and more, each designed to complement varied bridal aesthetics. The afternoon unfolded with an intimate masterclass led by Brides Today Editor-in-Chief Ruchika Mehta alongside contemporary designer Mahima Mahajan. Together, they decoded modern bridal dressing, balancing traditional Indian elements with clean, contemporary lines. Feather-light fabrics formed the canvas, highlighting texture, movement and comfort, while Kalyan Jewellers’ pieces completed each look with considered elegance.

The session explored how to thoughtfully plan outfits and jewellery across the wedding calendar — from smaller, intimate ceremonies like the mehendi and haldi to the D-Day look and receptions — ensuring harmony rather than excess. Mahajan’s nuanced ensembles were paired with carefully chosen statement pieces, enhancing rather than overpowering the bride’s individuality. Guests also received practical guidance on selecting hero jewels for key trousseau moments.

Beauty for the evening was helmed by Shivani Anand, whose understated hair and makeup complemented the ensembles without competing with them. Her approach favoured clean skin, soft definition and effortless finishes, aligning seamlessly with the modern bridal narrative presented during the masterclass.

The gifting experience was curated by Innisfree India and House of Beauty India, adding a considered beauty dimension to the evening. Thoughtful and indulgent, the selections reflected the event’s emphasis on self-care, refinement and modern bridal rituals.

Among those in attendance were industry figures and fashion insiders, including Pankhuri Pandhi, Neha Kalia, and Ranju Rai, Parul Sahni Marwah, Yoga and health expert Dr.Tarandeep, Bahaar Dhawan Rohatgi, and Rohini Anand who engaged with the conversations around bridal styling and immersive retail experiences. The evening underscored how flagship retail moments can transcend transactional encounters to become platforms for cultural interaction and creative dialogue.

With its new South Extension store and curated experiences such as this masterclass, Kalyan Jewellers continues to position itself at the intersection of tradition, contemporary design and experiential engagement, resonating with the aspirations of today’s bride, who seeks both meaning and modernity in her wedding journey.
