This 89-Year-Old Grandma Has 3.2 Million Insta Followers & She Will 'Steal Your Man'

If you haven’t heard of Helen Ruth Elam Van Winkle, better known as Baddie Winkle, you’re probably living under a rock. The 89-year-old great grandmother became an internet sensation at 85. She wears eccentric clothes, promotes the legalisation of medical marijuana, and her makeup is always on fleek. Her tag line? “Stealing Your Man Since 1982”...

... And that’s probably why, her Instagram account is so much cooler than everyone else we know. Helen goes by @baddiewinkle on Instagram and her home page is a riot of colours. Unafraid to get out there and flaunt her outfits, Baddie has a lot of posts with young men crowded around her in awe. Her social media tag line, “Stealing Your Man Since 1982”, has become a popular saying with American teenagers and social media users.

Winkle took the help of her great grandaughter to set up her page and she is often seen wearing her great grandaughter’s clothes. She came to prominence when she was followed by singer and actor Rihanna. And in 2015, she reached one million followers on Instagram, a feat many of us can only dream of achieving at her age.

Baddie Winkle has helped launch shows like Nicole Richie's Candidly Nicole on VH1. She also appeared on the red carpet for the promotion of the show, Orange Is the New Black. She attended the 2015 MTV Video Music awards as a guest of actor and singer Miley Cyrus.

What's most endearing about Baddie's page is that she refuses to stop even at her age. She is constantly at shoots (as is evident from her Insta page) and she is super active on social media. Brides, you might also want to look at taking some makeup inspiration from Baddie's account, her looks are super lit and perfect for day functions.
