Hydration is key

“Water is my elixir. I drink a lot of water throughout the day and that really helps my skin especially in terms of preventing it from breaking out from all the make-up,” says Jacqueline. Various studies and research have linked glowing and supple skin to water. Drinking water flushes out toxins from the body and prevents the skin from drying out. Make sure you drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day.

She starts her day with apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a powerful beauty potion that has been in use since ancient times for boost glow and build immunity. Jacqueline knows this well. She says, “I drink a glass of lukewarm water with a spoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in it in the morning.” Apple cider vinegar is packed is with Vitamins A, C, E, and B2 which promote healthy skin and nails, while Vitamin B6 found in it improves the overall health of the skin. It also improves gut health and is known to burn stubborn belly fat.

It’s a common misconception that you don’t need sunscreen indoors. Standard glass windows can block UVB but not UVA rays, which penetrate deeper into the skin than UVB. In fact, UVA rays are the main contributors to photo ageing, which results in wrinkles, pigmentation and dry skin. Jacqueline makes sure she lathers sunscreen on her face even when she doesn’t step out of the house. “After I wash my face with a good quality face wash, I follow it up with a moisturiser and sunscreen,” she adds.

Her daily diet includes a lot of fruits and vegetables

The old adage 'you are what you eat' stands good even today. It’s essential to nourish the skin from within. Dead skin cells are constantly being replaced by newer ones and this process needs key nutrients. Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables ensure your skin gets all the essential nutrients it needs to stay supple and blemish-free. Jacquline who puts up posts of her healthy eating choices on Instagram concedes, “my diet has a lot of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.”

She never skips her workout

Jacqueline’s feeds are packed with her workout videos. She never misses her workouts, not even on the busiest of days. “I make sure I work out every day. I experiment with my workouts to keep them interesting, but I never miss them,” she adds. Exercise plays a key role in glowing skin. It gets the heart pumping, increases blood circulation that helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin that promote collagen production, help in generation of new cells and help the skin glow. So if you were looking for an excuse to get started on a fitness regime, knock it out now.
