While there are many beauty and wellness treatments specifically for brides-to-be, the grooms often end up feeling rather left out. After all, everyone wants to look and feel their best on their wedding day.
'Men struggle with acne, wrinkles, sagging, dry skin, oily skin, clogged pores and on and on, just as women do. In terms of skincare, there is no research showing men need different products than women do when it comes to addressing these issues. Shaving facial hair is the only real difference for men, in which case it’s imperative to use is shaving cream, lotion, or foam that omits skin-irritating ingredients such as fragrance and menthol. Many shaving products contain these kinds of sensitizing ingredients that cause inflammation, which creates all kinds of problems for skin including ingrown hairs, breakouts, dry skin, and redness,' says Paula Begoun, author and founder of Paula's Choice.
So, if you are looking to amp up your beauty game we spoke to experts for the perfect skincare regime and the best way to tackle your beauty woes:
Dr Kiran Sethi, celebrity dermatologist and wellness expert

'Acne is a big issue for men, particularly body acne. To take care of this issue, opt for wearing cotton or sweat-wicking fabrics. If you get sweaty, wash with water and change your clothes right away. Use an antiseptic body wash such as B Prox 10 Anti Blemish Wash or Brevoxyl-4 Creamy Wash once a day. If that does not treat the then see a specialist.'
Hair loss- 'Androgenetic Alopecia is very common among men especially now, as many young men are suffering from it mostly because of stress, pollution or too many hormones in our food and hormone analogues such as pesticides and herbicides. To treat this, I would advice staying completely away from protein powders or bodybuilding supplements. The hormonal stimulation worsens the balding. Secondly, treat your dandruff, if any, with shampoos such as Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Original Shampooor or Bioderma Node Ds+ Shampooing Anti-Dandruff Intense Shampoo. Do not shampoo any more than 3 times a week and condition your hair to prevent breakage.

You can also include hair stimulating serums such as Minoxidil solution and foam- which are safe and simply increase blood flow to the scalp. Alternatively, peptides, caffeine and mint are great hair stimulators.
My favourite hair growth hack is applying a mixture of coconut oil, peppermint or mint oil, onion juice and black tea on the balding areas daily and washing off after an hour with water. Onion juice has shown to increase hair growth as do mint and caffeine. The coconut oil massage will stimulate hair follicles while nourishing the scalp.'
Jawline weakening - 'Start gua sha massage at home daily, and also start using a retinol at night to boost collagen. Look for radiofrequency treatments as well to start tightening your jawline such as InstaLift.'

'If I had to narrow it down to just the essentials this is what I would recommend:
Step 1: Use a great, mild, fragrance-free cleanser. My Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Oil Reducing Cleanser quickly removes sweat, oil and debris—all without leaving skin feeling stripped dry. You’ll be amazed what a difference this makes when you switch over from irritating soaps or drying cleansers that leave skin in a compromised state instead of healthy and refreshed.
Step 2:Use a hydrating aftershave. Apply Paula’s Choice SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid as an aftershave. This water-light fluid calms razor sting and redness, unclogs pores and ingrown hairs, and softens and smooths skin.

Step 3: Always use sunscreen. During the day, sunscreen is a critical step to protect skin from UV damage and prevent signs of ageing, including wrinkles and discolourations. My Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily DefenseBroad Spectrum SPF 30 has an incredibly lightweight feel and also delivers antioxidants to fights environmental damage.
Step 4: Add a nightly anti-ageing treatment. At night, add an anti-ageing hydrator such as my Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel. This weightless, refreshing gel moisturizer balances hydration and contains proven ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and niacinamide.'

Evolution laces every Indian bridal season from where some trends emerge to stay, while some fade over time. As we gear up for summer weddings, brides are seeking individuality while still honouring tradition even as they create a narrative that feels uniquely their own.
While gold may always hold its place in a bridal treasury, the rising value of silver and its versatility is increasingly bringing the malleable metal into the spotlight. Brides Today decodes this shift.
