'The one thing that you should remember while applying mascara is that when you take the wand out of the bottle, always remove the excess before applying. Also, don’t take continuously take the brush in and out because that makes the mascara dry way quicker.'

Sonic Sarwate, Global Senior Artist at M.A.C Cosmetics India

'MAC Haute and Naughty Lash Mascara is my favourite mascara because it comes with a dual-wiper which lets you achieve both a natural look and a powerful dramatic look.'

Always start by curling your lashes before applying the mascara. While applying the mascara, start from the roots of the lashes working your way up. Also, make sure that you do not apply it in one direction. Instead, apply it towards the direction of your hair growth.

Eshwar Log, Celebrity Makeup Artist

'I love using Diorshow Pump 'N' Volume HD Mascara or Maybelline New York Volume Express Colossal Mascara. They separate the lash and prevent clumping. These mascaras are long-lasting and smudge-proof.'

'Curling your lashes is so underrated! You must curl them at least three times. The best last curler I recommend is the (Shu Uemura or Muji). Also, do not skip the bottom lashes and apply a light coat of mascara on the bottom lashes as well.'

Taniya Joseph, Makeup Expert, The Body Shop India

'I would recommend The Body Shop Happy Go Lash because it gives the look of thicker and defined lashes yet feels gentle. The formula is easy to apply and remove and lasts all day without flaking. Enriched with 99% ingredients of natural origin, including Community Trade beeswax and Community Trade organic virgin coconut oil, Happy Go Lash feels gentle on application and helps to protect and enrich your lashes for a fuller-looking flutter.'

'For thick lashes that make you look wide awake, try this two-step process: Look up, wiggle your wand across lashes. Then look down and repeat the technique on the opposite side. Continue for up to three coats. The result is fully covered, totally amped, and excellent-for-batting doe-like lashes.'
