Occasionwear is not easy to repeat – a fact every sustainable fashionista with a wedding to attend has sadly realized.
Celebrity stylist Aastha Sharma agrees, “I regularly repeat my clothes and I love doing that because I have bought it because I loved it and I don’t want it to go waste. So, I try to invest as much as I can into clothes that I can wear again and again. I just style it differently each time.”
Her quest for a versatile wardrobe may have resulted in her recent collaboration with Limerick by Abirr N' Nanki that features key pieces that can be worn and re-worn multiple times.
“I have been following their work for a while and their USP is that even their Indian pieces are very contemporary. You can wear to a beach party or an evening party or a sangeet. It’s very versatile and that’s why it connects with the girls today who want to invest in something that they can wear again and again for different occasions,” she says.
So, we caught up the Aastha to share how to style some of her favourite pieces and how to repeat them.

Pre-stitched saris are a great idea for summer weddings. “We aren’t living in a time when weddings happen at a specific time, we have them throughout the year. Pre-stitched saris are excellent for just that. So, with the jacket sari, you can remove the drape and just wear the jacket as a dress for a party. Then, you can wear the sari for a wedding with traditional Indian jewellery,” she says.
She also suggests wearing them with boots, stilettos or even sneakers.

Breezy, effortless and chic – come summer, you will find kaftans everywhere! But did you know you can style this humble ensemble for a glamorous shindig? “I really like marble-printed kaftans. That is something you usually don’t see in the Indian market. So, you can wear it with Indian jewellery like chokers and chandbalis for a wedding and make it look really different from when you wear it at the beach with contemporary accessories, hair and makeup,” she says.'
