We are all searching for the perfect products that make applying a full face of makeup feel like you are wearing nothing!
For makeup expert Taniya Joseph, The Body Shop India, makeup that nourishes the skin while providing expert coverage is the key for bridal makeup. So, here are her favourite products and expert tricks while making brides look their best on their D-day.
Brides Today: What is your favourite foundation when it comes to bridal makeup?
Taniya Joseph: The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation is my favourite because it gives full coverage, promotes clearer looking skin, is ideal for any skin type and its ultra-lightweight. This lightweight foundation is enriched with skin-clearing tea tree and leaves a breathable, yet full-coverage matte finish. It’s also resistant to water and sweat.

BT: How can we pick out a foundation closest to our skin tone?
TJ: The best way to pick out a foundation matching your skin tone is to test them by dabbing some swatches of foundation on your jawline. The skin at your jawline will be truer to your natural undertone and give you an idea of how the foundation will look against your neck. The right hue should disappear into your skin.

BT: What are 3 must-have beauty products that are always in your vanity bag when doing bridal makeup?
TJ: These are the products that never leave my beauty bag:

BT: What is your *expert trick* while creating bridal makeup looks that you would like to share with the readers?
TJ: A waterproof mascara is a must on your wedding day, but apply a mascara that isn't as a base first because these give all the fullness, volume, length and curl that a waterproof can't. Then layer your waterproof mascara on top to act as a raincoat to your mascara and have the best of both worlds. I love using Lash Sport Waterproof Mascara for brides because it’s splash-proof, volumises lengthens and lasts.
