While you may have narrowed down on the kind of makeup you would like to wear on your wedding day, the magic behind your flawless face is created by healthy skin and good products.
Celebrity makeup artist Eshwar Log agrees. While he is known for his signature style of adding neon pops of colours in his gorgeous handiwork, he insists that brides stick to a great skincare regime and keep the experimentation on the down-low so that your bridal day photographs spark the same joy years later too.
We caught up with the beauty maestro to know all about creating timeless, chic yet fun and fierce makeup look on your D-day.
Brides Today: What is your favourite foundation when it comes to bridal makeup?
Eshwar Log: When it comes to skin I absolutely believe in natural beauty and beauty from within. Every woman’s most important day is her wedding day, and the pictures last a lifetime. My go-to foundations would be Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation or Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation.
Both brands have a wide range of shades for Indian skin tones. These foundations leave the skin looking silky and gives the perfect amount of coverage, they also stay up to 8-9 hours.

BT: How can we pick out a foundation closest to our skin tone?
EL: The best way to find the correct shade of foundation for your skin tone is to try out foundations below the cheekbone. Avoid trying foundations on the back of your hand or your neck. To get it absolutely accurate try out different shades of foundations and have a look at them in natural light. I swear by this!
BT: What are 3 must-have beauty products that are always in your vanity bag when doing bridal makeup?
EL: 1) Lip and cheek stain. I usually use Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge For Lips & Cheeks or Clarins Color Intense Water Lip stain.

2) A concealer. My beauty kit will always have a range of cream concealers because they are the holy grail of great skin. I usually use NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer or Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer or Estee Lauder Double Wear Instant Fix Concealer - this comes with an under eye cream which works like magic.

3) Mascara. I always say that more is more with mascara. I love using Diorshow Pump N Volume Mascara or Maybelline New York Colossal Express Mascara.

BT: What is your *expert trick* while creating bridal makeup looks that you would like to share with the readers?
EL: My secret trick for any kind of makeup especially for bridals is the blush on the nose!
⁃ Take a blending brush with a little bit of product (cream blush). Then, blend the blush starting from the apple of the cheeks, dragging it to the tip of the nose.
⁃ Caution- blend generously!
This technique helps the makeup look more natural and the face looks flushed and fresh. It also brings a soft depth to your face avoiding a flat-looking makeup. I'd say try this for sure!
