It has come up with the much-anticipated innovation—a smartwatch that keepings updating you about every second of the World Cup 2018 matches to be held in Russia. Apart from offering all the usual features of a smartwatch, Hublot has applied its breakthrough invention and craftsmanship to bring together the passion of football and technology into a super smartwatch.
The idea of this watch was conceived after FIFA’s need to make customised smartwatches for referees. Named the ‘Big Bang Referee 2018’, it is a unique edition with watches made of emblematic architecture and cut out of titanium. The bezel is decorated with 6 H-shaped screws, an analogue-mode dial, an and inserted Kevlar.
The FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia will be the very first international competition in which the referees will be supported by video assistance through the Big Bang smartwatch. Other special features are that it will remind users 15 minutes before a match begins, update match details in real time, yellow/red cards, changes, statistics, and goals. It also introduces a series of “fan” dials in the colours of each participating nation and two neutral bands. Based on the Wear OS ecosystem, it has thousands of downloadable applications in addition to its competition functions.
