From the Mangalsutra to the Mathapatti, We Have All the Deets About Katrina Kaif's Bridal Jewellery

Both the bride and groom accessorised their ensembles with jewellery from Sabyasachi's heritage collection.

And, the wait is finally over—Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot in an intimate ceremony yesterday, taking to Instagram to share glimpses from their fairytale-like affair. It's no joke die-hard #Vickat fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a peek into the bride's wedding wardrobe. And, we must add, she certainly didn't disappoint.

Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania (and Akshay Tyagi), Katrina opted for a red bridal lehenga by Sabyasachi in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. She accessorised her mesmerising attire with bespoke jewellery from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery, featuring uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand-strung pearls.

Vicky, who wore an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery, handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons with a silk kurta and churidar, and a tussar georgette shawl with zari marori embroidered pallu and borders, also wore a Benarasi silk tissue safa paired with a handcrafted kilangi, and a statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz, and tourmalines, in 18k gold, all from Sabyasachi Heritage jewellery.

These classic pieces of jewellery were meticulously created by hand at the Sabyasachi Art Foundation and put together by master craftsmen.

What caught our eye was the gorgeous nath (nose ring), stacked Polki bangles, and mathapatti the bride had adorned, along with a mangalsutra made of two small drop diamonds. She brought her bridal look together with custom-made kaleeras by Mrinalini Chandra, with each charm carrying a personal handwritten message by Katrina. And, how can we forget to mention the sapphire platinum Tiffany ring!
