Unless you have been living under a sartorial rock, you would know that the famed MET Gala proceedings have begun. An event that takes place on the first Monday of May every year, it has certain themes to which its attendees must adhere to. Every year, the MET Gala sees its fair share of over-the-top trains, larger-than-life gowns and elaborate ensembles. Just ask Blake Lively, who turned up to the 'Heavenly Bodies'-themed MET Gala in a nothing short of princess-y Versace gown, which took 600 hours to embroider.

Blake Lively attended 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination' Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with friend and designer Christian Louboutin. The shoe designer who has a longstanding connection with India wore a Rohit Bal jacket to the ball.
Lively turned to her go-to accessory designer Christian Louboutin, to create one-of-a-kind accent for her ensemble. The designer says, 'I wanted to design a delicate armor for her feet with crocodile and stones. A feminine warrior with a gold tassel for a religious wink.'
