LASER FACIAL
'Lasers have long been used in the skincare industryfor a variety of reasons, from hair reductions, pigmentation to resurfacing. This technique is now making it's debut in the realm of skincare, as this technology is being used in a non-invasive manner in facials,' says Dr Simal Soin, Aayna Clinic. It primarily consists of cleansing of the skin, followed by passing concentrated beams of laser light all across the face in a specific pattern.
This facial helps eradicate fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, open pores and reduces photo-sensitivity as well. Ideal for all age groups, this procedure has no downtime and the results are immediate, which means that you no longer need to wait around for that glamorous glow!
SNAIL GOO FACIAL
The latest facial in the Asian market that is fast being caught onto by the western world, the snail goo facial makes use of the excellent healing properties of snail filtrate. A fairly simple process, the skincare professional applies live, organic snails on your face, which then spread their goo across your skin as they move. Given it's unique intricacies, this process should only be performed by an experienced professional. 'The snail goo facial is fast emerging as a holy grail for anti-ageing treatments around the world. Despite being a little heavy on the pocket, it is definitely worth the price,' states Dr Rinky Kapoor, Cosmetic Dermatologist. This facial aims to reduce skin inflammation, improves elastin and collagen, combatssigns of ageing, curbssun damage and also adds essential proteins and antimicrobials to the skin.
PHOTO FACIAL
'The popular photo facial combines the procedures of microdermabrasion, oxy jet peel and nd yag laser,' states Dr Jaishree Sharad, Celebrity Cosmetic Dermatologist. Often opted by brides for an instant glow, this facial is made for you in case you're planning on getting hitched anytime soon! In the first step of microdermabrasion, tiny crystals are sprayed onto the skin to gently remove the dull layer of the skin. Since this technique is less aggressive, a numbing cream isn't required. This step acts as a exfoliator and rejuvenates the skin, leaving it looking smoother and brighter. In the following step, an Oxy jet peel gently pressure washes the skin through deep cleansing, exfoliating and hydrating it with its super sonic technique of delivering oxygen and water. This makes the skin look soft, supple and vibrant!
In the final step, a Q switched Nd: YAG laser generates a laser light of the spectrum at 1064 nanometers (nm). This helps lighten skin pigmentation, tightens the pores, and also reduces acne scars. With no side effects, this cost ineffective procedure can be performed on all skin types across all age-groups.
CAVIAR FACIAL
The caviar facial is no doubt a luxury facial, but totally worth the fabulous results afterwards. 'This facial makes use of caviar and marine extracts to cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse the skin with important nutrients such as peptides and essential amino acids,' claims Dr Rinky Kapoor.Caviar, when massaged into the skin, makesit look younger and fresher, protects it from UV rays, free radicals and make-up damage and also brings about a natural radiant glow! However, despite being one of the best of it's kind for anti-ageing purposes, this procedure does not suit acne-prone and ultra-sensitive skin types.
SILK DERMAL INFUSION FACIAL
'A cosmetic non-invasive treatment for healthy and glowing skin, the silk dermal infusion facial is a 3 in 1 technique which exfoliates the dull layers of the skin, extracts the dirt from deep within the pores and infuses the serum into the skin's layers,' says Dr Jaishree Sharad. A skin brightening pro-infusion serum containing decapeptide-12 , licorice root extract and ethyl ascorbic acid is used to reduce hyper-pigmentation and brighten the skin. A pore clarifying pro-infusion serum containing bakuchiol, salicylic acid 0.2% and oregano oil is used to reduce acne breakouts, redness, inflammation, as well as to unclog pores. Lastly, a Vitamin C pro-infusion serum containing ascorbic acid 2%, tocopheryl acetate and grape seed extract is used for treating dull skin, trans-epidermal loss and promotes production of collagen synthesis.
This procedure involves a diamond tipped surface which can be utilised for any skin condition, including rough and uneven skin tone, hyper-pigmentation, ageing and extreme dryness. It also works its magic on diminishing blemishes and acne and helps improve the complexion by making the skin look radiant and refreshed!
