Katrina Kaif Pens a Heartfelt Note On Sisterhood As She Shares New Photographs From the Wedding

Sorry Vicky, sisters before misters.

Over the last few days, the internet has been flooded with photographs from the #Vickat wedding. From the traditional Haldi ceremony to the fun-filled Mehendi, the couple has been taking to Instagram to share glimpses from their glorious 3-day affair in Rajasthan (yup, they've been syncing their Instagram posts, and we're in love).

Just a few hours ago, Katrina Kaif took to social media to share another set of photographs from her big day—one with the women behind the scenes, her "pillars of strength". In case you didn't know, Katrina comes from a female-dominated family of eight strong and beautiful women.

Her mother, Suzanne Turquotte, gave birth to eight children—seven girls and one boy—and on her wedding day, each of her sisters turned bridesmaid, walking the bride-to-be down the aisle to the man of her dreams. "Growing up, we sisters always protected each other. They are my pillars of strength, and we keep each other grounded…May it always stay that way," the actor wrote in her post.

In the series of pictures, Katrina can be seen walking under the traditional phoolon ki chadar along with her six siblings, namely Isabelle Kaif, Melissa Turquotte Roberts, Natacha Turquotte, Sonia Turquotte, Stephanie Turquotte, and Christine Raphael Duran Spencer. The gorgeous flower canopy features what appears to be intertwined jasmine flowers with baby's breath forming a border and white rosebuds dangling along the sides. Traditionally, the bride's brothers are meant to hold the blanket of flowers over her head as she sashays down the aisle. Although, in this case, Katrina Kaif's main girls took up the responsibility of walking her down. The perfect #BrideSquad? Perhaps.

A few days ago, the actor's younger sister, Isabelle Kaif—who made her Bollywood debut with Time To Dance, alongside Sooraj Pancholi—shared a photograph from the wedding pheras and wrote, "Yesterday, I gained a brother (Vicky Kaushal). Welcome to our crazy family! We couldn’t be luckier to have you."

These newly released photographs also give us a good look at the actor's Sabyasachi bridal ensemble, highlighting intricate embroidery, fine handwoven details, and a thick zardozi border from head to toe. Congratulations to the couple—we can't wait to catch more glimpses from their fairytale-like affair!
