Inside Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa's Dreamy Wedding

The celebrity couple—who have been dating for over 11 years—finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Chandigarh.

The CityLights (2014) co-stars, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa Paul, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Monday. After dating for over a decade, the couple said "I do" at The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort, Chandigarh, in the presence of close friends and family. The lovebirds took to Instagram to make the official announcement of their union.

Offering a glimpse into the glorious affair, Rajkummar Rao wrote, "Finally after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soulmate, my best friend, my family. Today there is no greater happiness for me than being called your husband, Patralekhaa. Here’s to forever...and beyond."

Patralekhaa also shared snippets from the ceremony and penned a heartwarming note for her groom. "I got married to my everything today; my boyfriend, my partner in crime, my family, my soulmate...My best friend for the last 11 years! There is no greater feeling than to be your wife! Here’s to our forever."

From Priyanka Chopra Jonas to Sonam Kapor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, and Sonakshi Sinha, B-town congratulated the gorgeous couple on their big day, sending across good wishes for the journey that lies ahead. Prior to the Hindu ceremony in Chandigarh, the celebrations kickstarted with an all-white engagement party on 13th November.

On the big day, Patralekhaa donned a red tulle embroidered Buti sari, paired with an embroidered veil, inscribed with a Bengali verse penned by Sabyasachi: "আমার পরান ভরা ভালোবাসা আমি তোমায় সমর্পণ করিলাম।" The traditional bridal look was accessorised with handcrafted Sabyasachi heritage jewellery in 22k gold with uncut diamonds, pearls, and emeralds.

To complement his bride, Rajkummar Rao wore an embroidered raw silk ivory jacket with gold plated Bengal tiger buttons, paired with a Bangalore silk kurta and churidar, by Sabyasachi. He, too, brought his look together with handcrafted Sabyasachi heritage jewellery in strands of cultured Japanese pearls. The actor threw on a matching red safa for the wedding pheras.

The nuptials—that took place at the regal Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort—featured minimalist, elegant decor. The mandap showcased white chrysanthemums along with marigold flowers suspended from strings of fairy lights. Besides, the splendid architecture and grandeur of the location served as the ideal backdrop for the stunning couple.

When it comes to the guestlist, only a few fraternity members were invited to attend the couple's wedding. Actor Aditi Rao Hydari, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi, and director Farah Khan were a few spotted at the intimate affair. Some of them also went on to post pictures from the event.

"You don’t marry the person you can live with...you marry the person you can’t live without," wrote Farah Khan Kunder in a heartwarming post featuring the newlyweds.
