Studies have shown that vaccinated people are likelier to find love and now that most of us have received the jab, it is possible to double mask and actually head out for a socially distanced date. A recent study by dating app Gleeden has revealed that though the pandemic has dramatically altered how we date. So, despite the distance, it is possible to find love. Pack a picnic basket
Remember your childhood picnic outings? Well, recreate the same fun with your bae by planning a gorgeous picnic. Almost half (42.3 per cent) of Gleeden users think that this is a cute date idea. So, pack your date's favourite food, a bottle of wine and some colourful rugs for a picnic. Bonus, it also makes for an Insta-worthy date.
Get set, ride on!
Strap on a helmet and put on your favourite outdoor shoes to go on a long bike ride together. Working up a sweat will not only help you shed your lockdown kilos but also improve your emotional bond. About 41.7 per cent of respondents have voted a resounding yay for going on long drives or bike rides with their bae. About 27.19 per cent of them also feel that bike rides can also lead to intimacy!
Watch a movie but outdoors
Set up a mini projector in your garden or drive to a scenic location and watch your fave flicks while chilling on the boot of the car to recreate your very own drive-through theatre. You can also check city listings to see if there are any themed open-air movie screenings around you. Watching a movie, holding hands, dim lights and popcorn! This is one of the most popular date ideas among Gleeden users with 46.67 per cent of them voting for it!
Travel but low-key
Nope, we are not suggesting destination dates. It may be a while before we can travel as we used to but you can still pique your wanderlust safely. Take your pick of the local hot spots and plan a trip to each one of them. The majority of city centres are much quieter now than they ever were before. So, this is a great time to see some of the beautiful tourism hotspots devoid of the crowds.
