Living Through a Pandemic 

We were meant to travel after the wedding; however, the pandemic changed our plans. Instead, we are spending a lot of time together at home—playing board games, watching shows, and cooking.

My Advice

Make sure that you start planning your nuptials well in advance, especially if it’s a destination wedding. Pay close, personal attention to the details, since those are the memories that people will take back with them. Lastly, once the wedding festivities begin, don’t stress!

The Wedding Day

We were both certain that we wanted an intimate affair. And, since we wanted the wedding to be memorable Anushka Shah and Vivek Zaveri first met each other during college. Nine years later, the couple had a memorable destination wedding at the Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa in Thailand.for our guests as well, an international destination seemed perfect. From a Holi-themed haldi function to a circus  concept for the sangeet ceremony, and a dreamy white wedding, each function was carefully planned and executed.

The Next Step

While there wasn’t a formal proposal, we both knew that we wanted to be together. So, as soon as Vivek returned from London after receiving his master's degree, we decided to have our Gol Dhana (engagement) ceremony with the blessings of our parents. For us, it wasn’t a deliberate step towards planing our future; it all fell into place naturally.

How We Met

We first met each other in 2012, at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. We were introduced by a common friend and instantly hit it off. Ever since, we have been best friends. And the rest, as they say, is history…
