From a wild girls’ night out and intimate weekends, to joint celebrations with the groom, bachelorette parties have evolved.

Much of what we find in trend today is led by celebrities. So it’s quite unsurprising that even traditional bachelorette parties have strayed from nightclub hopping to glamorous girls’ trips and other extravagant affairs—spearheaded by celebrities, of course. From Sofia Richie’s classic trip to Paris, complete with champagne and caviar, to Paris Hilton’s glitzy Las Vegas getaway in a hotel, bachelorette trips are only getting bigger and better. Here are some ideas to throw your bestie the best and most epic bachelorette ever!

THE HOTSPOTS

To start with, destination bachelorette parties have become nothing out of the ordinary these days. While beach resorts remain a go-to, Paris and Las Vegas are the most fashionable hotspots for brides-to-be and their girl gang. Think macaroons, burlesque dancers, and 193 photoshoots by the Eiffel Tower, or casinos, helicopter rides, nightclubs and a drive down The Las Vegas Strip in a convertible.

HOME-BOUND

Parties at home are also seeing a revival, courtesy the Covid-19 pandemic. A spillover of the lockdown months had our celebrities keeping things quiet and casual. While 2018 saw Deepika Padukone fly to Orlando for her bach party, Alia Bhatt celebrated at her BFF’s house in 2022.

WELLNESS PARTIES

The addition of wellness activities to bachelorette parties is befitting of the current self-care craze on social media. The classic ‘spirited’ shenanigans aren’t going anywhere. They have simply been appended to the itinerary with spa treatments, yoga retreats, and meditation all having their moment, too.

TACK IN A THEME

If you want to spice up your bachelorette, look no further than Vanessa Hudgens—she held a funeral-themed party. Themes are on the rise and for good reason: they are a fun way of levelling up your décor and outfits. A few ideas off the top of our minds are Barbie, murder mystery, and dressing up as your favourite celeb.

GROOVING WITH THE GROOM

Joint bachelor-bachelorette parties are gaining traction, as was evident from Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s pre-wedding bash in Aspen. It’s likely that the lovebirds, known for their PDA, couldn’t stay apart long enough to celebrate individually. However, mixed-gender parties also serve the greater purpose of infusing inclusivity in the wedding industry.
