Destination Wedding Starring Keanu Reeves And Winona Ryder Is For People-Hating Couples
This is the anti-rom-com we’ve all been waiting for!
Rarely does a fine romantic comedy come along that you can so wholeheartedly associate with. Most romantic films are wrapped in mush and delivered in the kind of soupy saga you’d like to settle down to with a bowl of popcorn, while your fingers are entwined with that of your loved one.
Destination Wedding is not that kind of film. It portrays the reality of being at a wedding if you’re the kind who hates people. It highlights the beauty of imperfections in a relationship between two people. And most of all, it has Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder put on their best straight face.
Ryder, who was last seen in Stranger Things, is confrontational throughout the trailer, while Reeves’ delivery of witty one liners makes this film something we are totally looking forward to. Together, the duo seem like the miserable kind who are stuck at a wedding they would very much like to leave and make do with trading barbs with each other.
