A symphony of love, the couple chose to personalise elements that were close to their hearts.

A trinity of connection, fate and long conversations brought businessman Shankaran Kukreja, and marketing and communications manager Kritika Gupta together. Read on, for their love story will tug at the heartstrings.

How They Met
"Shankaran and I met five years ago at a friend's engagement party...Little did I know that they were cousins. We ended up chatting all night. Sometimes, you cross paths with someone, and feel a connection and this time it was here to stay. He was different, and that's what intrigued me...There was never a dull moment. Three months later. he moved to Singapore to pursue a Masters degree. While I was hesitant to commit to a long-distance relationship, he seemed sure. He was willing to take a chance on us and the rest is history."

The Next Step
"One night, Shankaran insisted on dinner before heading to a friend's house. With absolutely no inkling of what was to come, the night ended with a potpourri of emotions - nervousness, excitement, and pure love. From the ambiance to the music, he had planned it to the tee. I walked up a flight of stairs to be met with infinite candles, crimson-red flowers, and live singing."

Leading Up to the Big Day
"Attention to detail has always been important for me. Shankaran and I wanted to host a fun, intimate affair, one that was in line with our personalities. Two days before the wedding, I requested my decorator to redesign the mandap...Dressed in crimson-red flowers, it was reminiscent of our proposal. We ensured that every single element was personalised with hints of nostalgia."

Memories That Will Last a Lifetime
"As I walked down the aisle, my father was beside me. He held my hand, lending a sense of warmth, confidence, and strength. Amidst a whirlwind of bittersweet emotions he knew exactly how to make me smile... It's beautiful how they may have to let go of your hand, but they will always have your back."

My Advice
"Don't rush the process. Embrace the simple joys and unparalleled excitement of it all. Be mindful of your priorities, and make sure you and your partner hear each other out. In the end, it's the memories that you will cherish forever."
