Brides Today traces their love story of Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth and the adventure that took them from a movie set to happily ever after.

How they met

It all goes back to 2021, when Aditi and Siddharth met on the sets of Telugu movie Maha Samudram. What started as on-screen chemistry quickly turned into sparks off-screen. A simple yet genuine “Hello, beautiful girl” from Siddharth—a line that from anyone else would have seemed cheesy to Aditi—kindled their friendship that led to banter, companionship and, eventually, more.

The next step

Soon enough, the two began dating and navigating the plethora of cameras around them. Aditi, familiar with the crowds and bustle of Mumbai, was more used to this world than the still-shy Siddharth, who prefers to keep things on the down-low. Before we knew it, the initial rumours were unofficially confirmed when they began to make public appearances together, be it at AR Rahman’s daughter’s engagement, Rakshita Reddy’s wedding or the Ponniyin Selvan audio launch in 2022.

Leading up to the big day

The ultimate confirmation came from Instagram— as is the norm these days—where Siddharth shared a heartfelt birthday message for Aditi, complete with a personalised poem and a sweet photo of the two. But what sent fans in a tizzy was when the couple joined the ‘Tum Tum’ reel trend, with a video of them dancing gracefully to the song. They also shared a photo from their New Year’s trip together earlier in 2024. Siddharth is believed to have gotten down on one knee—the classic proposal stance—for over a year not with a ring, but with actions like fiddling with his shoelaces instead. The running joke between the two turned into reality this March, when Aditi announced their engagement on Instagram, with a cheeky caption that read, “He said yes!”

Memories that will last a lifetime

In September, Aditi and Siddharth tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy, Telangana. The traditional ceremony was grand in its simplicity and elegance and spoke volumes about the couple. Both chose Sabyasachi ensembles for their wedding attire that reflected their South Indian roots. “You are my sun, my moon, and all my stars…” they shared on social media. “To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity… to laughter, to never growing up…” One needn’t have been present at the ceremony to feel their bond, as every photograph shared from the wedding exudes their love. The happiness on Siddharth’s face as he waits at the mandap, a complete testament to their deep affection
