Managed by Pink Palki, Bangkok, this wedding demanded eight months of rigorous planning to bring together three countries— India, Marutius, and Thailand! Siddharth of Siddharth Pruthi Photography fame gifted the couple with the best gift of all—a recap video of all functions for all to enjoy at the reception itself!

“Each event and their backdrop had to be planned painstakingly,” says Dipika. A flash mob by the family, bride and groom’s entry amidst a row of sparklers, live music by Samarth Swarup, a fun game of water polo, and a van called Car-O-Bar that dispensed alcohol—this wedding saw it all.

Their wedding at Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, Thailand witnessed two families coming together with the revelries spanning three days. It began with a welcome dinner and saw a fun pool party, a sangeet function that went on for an entire night, an evening wedding, and a formal reception.

Who knew that a story that began with a phone call from Mauritius to Mumbai would lead to a whirlwind romance panning two nations? That is how businessman Sahil Punjabi met PR consultant Dipika Israni on a fine day in November 2016. Against the beautiful backdrop of the sea at Ile Des Deux Cocos restaurant in Mauritius, Dipika was gifted a rose and a message every half an hour during lunch which finally led her to the roof where Sahil was waiting to propose.
