Straight out of a fairy tale, Shiv and Vasundhara’s wedding was what dreams are made of.

Talking about the ceremonies, all of which took place at the ITC Grand Bharat, Vasundhara smiles and reminisces, “Each of the ceremonies were so special and fun in their own way, it’s so hard to pick one favourite! It was two days of love and laughter, and I did that while marrying the love of my life.”

She even wanted the décor to be pink, she felt that Gautam not only did a brilliant job, he managed to keep it elegant and not go over the top.

To pay homage to her Kashmiri heritage, Vasundhara decided to wear pink, and Anita Dongre was the obvious choice.

The sangeet was a more glamorous event, for which Vasundhara had her heart set on a gold Sabyasachi lehenga, paired with statement polki, emerald earrings, and a maangtika to add the right dose of drama!

So, for her mehendi, Vasundhara wanted something fun and flirty, and she picked a light yellow Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfit to keep it simple and easy to manage.

One of the most important things for the bride and groom was that they enjoyed their own wedding, and were not bogged down by heavy clothing and jewellery.

A wedding that was as beautiful as it was emotional, this was an event neither Shiv nor Vasundhara would forget. Talking about the family and friends who were there to share their joy, the couple felt like the “luckiest people in the world”.

On 2nd December 2016, Vasundhara came home to find her apartment decked up with flowers, candles, champagne, and Shiv waiting on one knee. She said yes (obviously), and it’s been a dream since.

After their third date, Shiv met Vasundhara’s family, and the two became inseparable. Six months into their relationship, when Shiv went abroad to attend business school, the couple faced their true test, and cleared it with flying colours!

A month after financial planning and analysis manager Vasundhara Tankha moved to New York, she met venture investor Shiv Sharma, and instantly knew she’d found something special.
