For couples attending together, these are also a fun way to spend some quality time with each other during a busy wedding weekend.
The best part is that none of these activities need to become a major production. Set up a small corner, leave out the supplies, and let guests join in whenever they have a little time. From testing how well couples know each other to leaving the newlyweds with ideas for their married life, these activities can become some of the most memorable parts of the celebration.
Make a date night jar for the newlyweds
Give every couple a small card and ask them to write down their favourite date night idea. It could be anything from trying a new restaurant to having a movie night at home or taking a spontaneous weekend trip. Drop all the suggestions into a jar for the newlyweds to pick from whenever they need date night inspiration.
Head to the caricature corner
Give couples the chance to put their drawing skills to the test. The catch? They have to draw each other. Set up a little caricature corner with paper and markers and let everyone create their very own, probably not very accurate, portrait of their partner. The terrible drawings are likely to be the best part!
Try a couple quiz
How well do you actually know your partner? Put couples to the test with questions about each other's habits, favourites, and little quirks. Ask things like who takes longer to get ready, who is more likely to overpack on holiday, or who would survive longer without their phone. It is simple yet funny and gives couples plenty to argue about.
Have a dance-off
Get couples onto the dance floor for a quick dance battle. Pick a few popular songs and give each pair a minute to show off their moves. There does not have to be any serious choreography involved. The more spontaneous and dramatic it gets, the better!
Leave a message for the newlyweds
Set up a station where couples can leave a note for the bride and groom. They could share their favourite relationship advice, suggest a date night, write down a memory from the celebrations, or simply leave a wish for their future together. Once the wedding is over, the newlyweds will have a collection of personal messages to go through.
