A sacred sunrise wedding at Adiyogi made Palak Purswani and Rohan Khanna's celebration truly unforgettable
They were amongst the first couples to exchange vows before the iconic Adiyogi statue in Coimbatore.
Actor and lifestyle creator Palak Purswani and Rohan Khanna tied the knot on June 26, 2026, and while at it, the couple became among the first ones to exchange vows before the iconic Adiyogi statue in Coimbatore. Surrounded by around 70 of their closest family and friends, they chose faith, simplicity and presence as the foundation of their new beginning.
For Purswani and Khanna, it was always about discovering a place that felt deeply connected to who they are rather than extravagant venues. Held with special permission from the Isha Foundation, the intimate ceremony took place before the 112 foot Adiyogi statue, a landmark revered by spiritual seekers from across the world.
Their journey together began unexpectedly with a brief five-minute conversation at a restaurant where they never even exchanged surnames. Months later, an Instagram message from Khanna reignited that connection, eventually leading to their first date at Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple. Faith became a defining part of their relationship from the very beginning. Just three months later, Khanna proposed during a trip to Cappadocia's Love Valley.
The wedding celebrations began on June 25 with an intimate welcome dinner. Rich shades of plum and oxblood created an elegant setting where guests gathered around a single long dining table instead of separate seating arrangements. Live music filled the evening, while handwritten notes placed at every seat reminded loved ones of the special role they had played in the couple's journey.
Before sunrise on their wedding day, Purswani and Khanna first visited the Devi Temple within the Isha Yoga Center to seek blessings before taking the plunge. As dawn broke, they exchanged their sacred vows before Adiyogi beneath a gold-toned mandap inspired by traditional Indian temple architecture. Floral arrangements of mogra, tuberose, rajnigandha, white roses, and sacred bilva leaves blended beautifully with the serene surroundings, while Vedic chants echoed through the morning air. A live narrator explained each ritual to guests, allowing everyone present to fully appreciate the significance of every ceremony.
For her wedding, Purswani wore a striking red lehenga by Papa Don't Preach paired with heirloom-inspired gold polki jewellery from Indriya. One of the most meaningful details of her bridal look was a pair of bespoke kaliras featuring charms inspired by their love story, including the couple's initials, their parents' initials, their pet dog Oreo, their shared zodiac sign, an Adiyogi motif, and even a tribute to the restaurant where they first met. Khanna complemented her in a regal layered anarkali sherwani by Jigar & Nikita.
The celebrations concluded with a traditional South Indian breakfast featuring live dosas, Pongal, and freshly brewed filter coffee, bringing everyone together one final time.
As if the morning itself wanted to bless the occasion, a gentle drizzle followed the ceremony before a magnificent rainbow appeared above Adiyogi. For everyone present, it felt like a beautiful sign, bringing a fitting end to a wedding that celebrated not grandeur, but faith, gratitude and the quiet beauty of beginning a lifetime together.
