The former chef at the Rashtrapati Bhavan tells you all about Thalpeeth - a Maharashtrian delicacy that is delicious and super-nutritious.

When it comes to comfort food most of us have rather unhealthy favourites such as molten chocolate laden brownies or spicy, fried potato wafers.

So, if you are planning to stick to your healthy-eating resolutions for 2020, we have a rather delicious and super-healthy snack option for you.

Brides Todayspoke to the culinary confidante of former presidents Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee, Chef Machindra Kasture for his take on a nutritious snack and here's what he had to say.

'There are various things that I like but I would say that 'Thalpeeth' is one of my favourite recipes. It is a breakfast meal and I can really eat it every day but I like to experiment with the preparation. It is made out of multi-grains so it is healthy with little desi ghee and curd or chutney to go along with it it’s a perfect meal. If I say what makes it special is the fact that it is part of my childhood days,' says Chef Kasture.
